Four of the five family members in our house play some version of guitar. We live in 1100 square feet. Between the four of use we have: 6 acoustic guitar 1 electric 1 acoustic bass 1 electric bass 5 ukulele 3 mandolin......and no wall space. And yet.... Um...I accidentally bought another guitar. (Honest! I don’t know how it happened! I slipped and fell on it....!?! 😇) In my defense, my daily player is starting to deteriorate. The face is lifting off along the corner seam. (I can justify anything if you gave me long enough! 🤫😄) What’s your weakness? Make me feel better! Lol

Sock yarn. It doesn't cost much, you only need one skein, and it comes in so many pretty colors. Forget that I could clothe an entire village (well, their feet at least) with what I already have.

candleangie, your collection reminds me of my BFF. In his house there are 3 acoustic, 4 electric, 2 mandolins and 2 banjos. He lives alone... My DS also seems to accumulate guitars. He has 2 acoustic, 3 electric, 2 bass, 1 mandolin and 1 innocuous little ukulele. Oh, and there’s a violin up there somewhere too, but he knows he can only practise it in the shed. I keep buying bamboo socks, jigsaw puzzles, dies, and 6x6 paper pads. Sometimes all in the one day.

Jeans and potatoes.
Constantly on the quest for the perfect jean even though that's a moving target since sometimes I want slim leg, sometimes dark denim, sometimes distressed, sometimes bootleg....blah blah....
And potatoes! I seem to have some deep seated fear of running out of potatoes, god only now why since we could always eat pasta or rice or whatever but for some reason I always have bags and bags of potatoes - and it's worse right now because I'm eating low carb!!

I'll never chastise someone for their great "finds"!! If you're happy, then you'll find room for it! (Really--5 people in an 1100 sq ft place? Kudos to you! We're 4 people in a 1495 sq ft home and it's not big enough!).
Anyway, my item would have to be shoes, of any kind--boots, sandals, heels, etc........ I have quite the collection and I've dragged it from my house in NY, to NJ (in with my wonderful fiancé, who rented me a storage unit!) to FL where there's lots of walk-in closets. I have collections of dishes too, and clothes, but I try to weed through things every time we move. I've found that if something has meaning to you, then, keep it! You're fine!

I'm brand new to the knitting world (loom knitting) and I feel the intense need to buy yarn and additional looms. I really don't want to make hats but yet want a set of round looms so I keep looking in thrift stores. I have a long loom and have finished my first scarf and am now working on a lap blanket. The yarn possibilities are amazing. Looking at yarn reminds me of the buying/searching I did when I was first scrapbooking.
I also buy too many groceries. But I really am working on making sure we use the groceries I buy.

China. I have probably eight sets in my cupboards besides our daily use set of Blue Willow. There are another two-three sets packed away in the attic. In my defense, I do use them all - I love to set a pretty table and we entertain a lot. Plus working for an auction house, I can pick them up very reasonably. I bought a full set of Minton last year for less than $100.

At our house: Two Martin guitars, an Ovation, two electric guitars, two mandolins, one uke. Since Ds moved out (taking two guitars and another uke with him) I am the only one who plays. I feel your pain OP, but I am still happy with my latest acquisition, one of the mandos I bought last May. I do think I am done acquiring, at least for a while!
I do have way too much scrapbook stuff and I keep buying.

Happy to see another potato person. lol I don't know why I do it, but every time there's a storm forecast, the first thing I think is to run buy potatoes. My family makes fun of me for it.
My others would be scrapbooking supplies, nutmeg, and make up.

Any food item that may be discontinued because it is not mainstream.
I have 6 jars of piquillo and artichoke spread that we put on pizza. Kroger discontinued it and it was a house brand.
I probably could make it by grinding up some piquillo peppers and artichokes along with some pizza sauce. Or just put the vegetables on top of the darn pizza that already has the pizza sauce on it.
I will cry when my jars are gone.
Great thread.

lipstick I probably have about 10 tubes in my makeup drawer, 4-5 in my purse, 4-5 in my computer bag, and another 5 in a bowl in my foyer (under the mirror). I can never have enough. Cheaper than guitars!

Right now I would say I keep buying too many hair, makeup and skin care products. I guess I’m still looking for the magical product that will turn me into a supermodel! Lol

I'm trying to evenly distribute my crazy purchases. I will say I only consider them crazy as I have no storage space for them, and we are still trying to re-do this house. So I go in spurts between china, glassware, serviceware, tea towels/kitchen towels, and table linens. My newest is rugs and futon covers and throw pillows. Although I'm suppose to be buying fabric to make pillow covers so I'm not storing pillows. So add fabric in there. (I did buy several valentine styled fabrics for this purpose and for a table runner back in January and haven't touched them.)
Let's not even talk about scrapbooking supplies.

Notebooks for journals. Little, big, coil, bound, colourful, designed, textured or not. I have about 26 of them currently and keep buying when one strikes my fancy.
