What a wonderful and amazin update! Gave me chills to read this one.
A PP asked if something like this had ever happened before. Actually there was a lady who had suffered with MS for 20+ years who had reached the point of not being able to walk. She was struck by lightning (or at least the bathtub she was in) and went into remission. Within a year she was walking again. The doctors were never able to decide exactly what/how/if the lightning strike had caused the change.

Thank you all so much for the nice comments. I'm saving this post to show my family what great people are on this board. I didn't think to ask if the doctors have heard of something like this before--I was too shocked to think at the time! When I talk with my niece, I will ask her. I loved the MS story--miracles do happen.

Oh my goodness. I am sorry I didn't see the original thread. It must have been such a stressful time for her and all her family. But how amazing that her sight has returned.

You may remember I asked for thoughts and prayers for my ten year old great niece who was going blind. By April she was legally blind--20/200. The last two weeks she has had mono and sometime or other her tonsils have grown back. The doctors say the mono virus must have been lying dormant on her optic nerve. As of last Friday, her vision and colors have returned and her vision is now normal--20/20. I call this a miracle. Thank you so much for your help!
Wow! What an amazing miracle! Thank goodness she can see again.
