Just got over 200 dollars worth of charges on these sites fraudulently charged to my credit card. It was a card i had cancelled due to other fraud, so it seems they somehow "stored" the card on their site despite me not doing that myself.
Please check your credit card statements. I won't be ordering from them again, and put a block on further charges from them. Not worth the hassle--1 1/2 on the phone and now I have to wait for them to investigate. Ugh.

Oh no!! That stinks! Hope you can get it sorted out fast! I don’t order from there thankfully but I’m sure others will appreciate the heads up.

Lots and lots of small charges and then a few big ones! I pray it gets resolved quickly. This is the THIRD time i've had to replace my card in as many months--so frustrating. I think putting a block on those sites will help. If i do decide to order from them in the future, i will get a pre-loaded visa with 25 bucks on it or something like that. I wish credit card companies would provide virtual, one-use cc numbers. I remember paypal used to do that and it was GREAT.

So sorry you’re going through this. Sucks that people are low life thieves. Hope you get it straightened out soon.

Not to rain on you anymore, but this is why I use single use virtual credit card numbers that one of my CC's offers. If you want to make purchases from these places and have credit cards, look up or call them to see if they have this feature. I'm surprised how handy I've found it because it keeps me from overspending. It's actually why I haven't ordered because I either have to check out with my entire cart or generate a card number fore each store/transaction.
I hope that you sort it out quickly and don't have any additional problems!

How is this the vendor’s fault? Isn’t it the person who stole your CC info’s fault?
It makes no diff if they spent the money at Amazon, Target, or the corner liquor store. If you cancelled the card, how did the charges go through?

I can get a one time use number for my Bank Americard any time I need. I do it online, then I can make a purchase knowing that no additional charges can be added to my card. I love the companies that provide this service.

So sorry this happened. It is so frustrating when it does. I have never heard of a one time use number but it is something I want to look into. I use PayPal on Wish so I think that keeps me safe. I haven't' order from AliExpress because they didn't offer a PayPal option.

Still trying to understand from cc company how charges went thru.

So it’s not the companies’ fault in any way unless they had a security breach and leaked your info.

When I had a Bank of America cc, they did have the one-use card # options. It only took a brief moment to set up when needed.
I just saw that Capital One has started something similar, except instead of a one-time use, they set up a "card number" that is unique and is only for that vendor. The vendor doesn't get your actual card number info and it appears if that unique number is compromised, your real card number hasn't been.
I was thrilled to see this because we seemed to got compromised every time we used Amazon (but the fraudulent charges weren't for Amazon, they used the cc elsewhere). Due to one card not leaving the house & only being used at Amazon & some other means of elimination on the other cards, we are certain it was from using the cards at Amazon. After the third time, we started buying gift cards for any time we want to order from Amazon, now I can set up a number that only gets used there & it can't be used for other vendors.

I usually put everything in my cart I want to order, get the total amount and then, get a gift card for the closest whole dollar amount and use it to buy. I like that because if anyone else tries to use the card the most they can get is a few cents and it isn't tied to my address, SSN and all that.
Also, I keep the gift cards until all my items arrive and I'm satisfied. On one order I had 1 item not arrive and was issued a refund, so without having kept the card I wouldn't have know the numbers, expiration and it would have been useless.
Just another option.
Hope everything gets resolved quickly and painlessly!

I'm sorry you have to deal with this. I had to have my CC changed three times in less than a year starting with the Target debacle two or three years ago. It's such a hassle. I hope you get it resolved quickly.

We just got new cards for the 3rd time in about 6 months. It’s driving me crazy. But we order from amazon weekly and sometimes multiple times a week. We don’t know how it’s happening. The last fraudulent charge was for over $500 to Verizon. Never shopped at Verizon in my life. I couldn’t do the single use thing as we order so much from amazon. It’s very frustrating for sure. OP, sorry this happened to you.

That is why the ONE time I ordered from Aliexpress, I used my American Express Bluebird card. I just put the money I needed on it at Walmart. I don't have monthly fees on it and it doesn't cost to add money to it at Walmart.

I don't know how they used to do it, but Bank of America gives out a unique card number, short (2 or 3 month) expiration date, along with a unique security code on the back. They get none of your actual card info.

I order online all the time. From Ali, Amazon, and EBAY. I have never ordered from Wish. We check our CC’s all the time. We haven’t had any problems. I don’t know if this makes a difference; but when Equifax was compromised, we froze our credit. Have any of you done that and still have problems?

I’ve probably made thousands of orders online over the years, including from Ali Express, and have never had a card compromised. From what I understand, for some reason fraud is much more of an issue for credit cards issued by banks/institutions in the USA.

I don’t agree with vilifying a vendor, though, without actual knowledge of what’s happened. The “won’t shop there again” thing comes across that way.

I buy from Amazon a lot, and so far have had no issues. I keep an eye on my CC #s online to see if there are any questionable purchases.
I don't know if Amazon shares your CC info with 3rd party vendors, but they usually let you know if you are buying from a 3rd party rather than Amazon.

I forgot to mention in my post: I also wait a while and search for things I really want on eBay. That way, I can use paypal 100% of the time and still get what I want. The prices usually vary and might be a few cents more, but at least this way, I don't have to generate a temporary card number. The latest round of enamel dots (maybe 6-9 months old now) were cheaper on eBay than they were on AE from the start.
