I scrap my kids’ lives by each school year. Because I primarily scrap events that result in a lot of pictures (football, homecoming, NHS, prom, etc.), I want to print smaller pictures. I don't have a photo printer, so I want to put 1 or 2 pictures in various small sizes on a 4x6 and then send it to Mpix. Is that even possible? I don't even care if it's one 2x2 or 3x3 on a 4x6. I know it's not really cost effective, but I'm fine with that.

I find PicStitch and Project Life apps both easy to use. I like PL because it has nice photo editing capabilities and there is no white border between the photos. I like PicStitch because it has lots more layout options.
With either one, you simply add your photos to the layout, such as two 3x4s on a 4x6 photo, the save the image. Send that saved image to your photo processing place and you get 2 small photos for the price of a 4x6 print.
I will even pull a 4x6 photo into the PL app and save the edited version there. Lately Costco photo uploads are only grabbing my original, not my modified photo when I edit in iPhoto, which has frustrated me to no end! Using the apps to edit and save fixes the problem.

On your phone or computer you should be able to use an app to make a photo collage. On my iPhone I use one called PhotoCollage. Most of them default to square, but you can change them to 2:3. I often do this to get 2 3x4's, 4 2x3's, or 6 2x2's. If I want a 3x3 I leave it as a 3x4 and crop it afterward.

I use the PL app to even though I know how to use PSE. It is just so much easier to do it all on my phone. I use Google photos to store my photos and the app plays nicely with it.

I use PSE all the time to make photo collages to print at Costco. On my computer I do the following,
1) Create size of master collage (4x6, 5x7) in PSE at 300 ppi in RGB 2) Crop photos to smaller size 2x3 or 2.5 x 3.5 at 300 ppi 3)Drag smaller photos into collage and move to each corner with move tool 4) send to be printed.
I just finished a batch for printing before I read this post. Have fun and play around in PSE, there is so much you can do to improve your photos.

On my iPhone I use Print to Size. You can put as many as you want to a 4x6 and save it to your camera roll and then print however you usually do.

On iPhone I will use picframe and on my PC I use picmonkey's collage feature (not sure if that is part of my paid product or free for everyone)

I just bought ready-made templates from Kerri Bradford for this exact reason.

I think the project life app is the easiest to use for this...but I am hopeless at photo shop!

I think the project life app is the easiest to use for this...but I am hopeless at photo shop! OP If you aren't already familiar with Photoshop or PSE I would do one of the other options suggested. There is a big learning curve and if all you want to do is put smaller photos on a 4x6 Photoshop or PSE is over kill in power and cost.

I have PSE 15 and had Photoshop before. In PSE you hit print when the print page comes up in the right hand column it asks what size paper you are using. Towards the bottom of the column it asks Select print size there are some sizes listed there and at the very bottom it has custom and you can ut the size you choose. I can't remember exactly how it was in Photoshop but assume it would be about the same. Attachments:

I use PSE. I often crop my photos to different sizes and then arrange in a more cost effective way. I'll often put two 3x3s or 3x4s on a 4x6 layout for easy uploading and printing. I've also done smaller photos.
