www.zillow.com/homedetails/356-Middleburg-Ln-Huger-SC-29450/10829490_zpid/?fullpage=trueI would love a place like this that's steeped in history. All the little details are fabulous. The window etched with the little girl's name? Wow. And those trees? Trees like that just speak to my soul. The kitchen is way too small and I'm sure they aren't showing the bathrooms for a reason, but it might all be worth it to live in a piece of history. I'd wander those grounds every day. Of all the houses shown.. this is pretty close!!! I would change the kitchen if possible and maybe add storage if there isn't much... and yeah.. bathrooms, but all in all, I love it!! That window is to die for!!! How sweet is that? YES and the trees.. I bet the locust sing LOUD in the evenings!

If I was living in my city, likely a mid century modern single story.
If money were no object, then likely a beach bungalow or craftsman style on the water.

I love this one!! Home I would turn the horse barn into a craft studio. Holy crap - 23 million! It is gorgeous though. It's in a super duper expensive area of CA. In that area, an old rundown cottage that would have to be torn down, would sell for over a million.

I love Charlie Harper's house from Two & a Half Men - it has just the right amount of space and it's on the beach.

Single level brick or stucco 4 car garage minimum Master arranged so that you walk into the bathroom first, not the closet The closet would have a pocket door that connects to the laundry room Laundry room will have a large and long folding counter (I really want 2 washers and 2 dryers, but I know that is ridiculous) Open floor plan Craft/sewing room 2 guest bedrooms Lots of natural light A circular driveway On a Lake A pool A built in high volume ice-maker for entertaining (would love the Sonic ice) boat dock with boat 2 wave runners (at least) large kitchen island A mix of modern/contemporary (me) and traditional (Dh)style large and spacious back deck overlooking the lake
Not that I've thought about it or anything - lol!

A high-rise condo on the beach. Smallish, but up high with a nice view of the water.

Something like this. I want a small-ish house. With enough yard space I could put a little craft shed in the back yard. Lots of windows and lots of natural light. It seems every house my DH and I have lived we have horrible natural light. I don't really want an open floor plan. I like having dedicated spaces for the living room, kitchen and dining room. Ideally this little house would be on the beach with an ocean view.

I want two houses. Yep, I'm greedy. Here's why. I want to live in St. John USVI in the spring, winter and fall. In the summer I want to live in Maine. Mmm, maybe late spring in Maine too, depending on the weather. I hate the cold. Really, really hate it. But summer in St. John is super humid and I love summers in Maine-just can't take the winters there. And I love everything about being in the sea in St. John-the snorkeling especially. I can spend hours doing that. If I had to choose between the two I'd choose St. John.
Okay, what kind of house? Assuming I could have only one it'd be in St. John so it'd have to be as hurricane safe as possible. Style wise-I'd like it to work with the environment, and me-being a tree hugger, be as eco friendly as I can make it. Solar power, and so on. I'd try to find an architect down there to design one if I can after I find my perfect piece of land as near to the beach as possible. I don't want to be up in the hills (if you've ever been to St. John you know what I mean) because it'd mean a 20 minute drive or more to get to the beach ever day. Money not being an option-we are dreaming right-I should be able to afford a nice chunk of waterfront property.
I hate the popular "open concept" style but I'd like at least 4 bedrooms (plenty of room for visitors) with a laundry chute down to the laundry room, a scraproom for me, an office for DH, a library filled with books, a great gourmet kitchen with an island (always wanted one of those) pantry, and lots of spaces (ours is so tiny right now). a dining room, living room, entrance way, wrap around porch, and lots of those handy extras including walk in closets, attics for storage and so on. I'd like a wrap around porch with space for dining and rocking chairs. A pool is a must along with someone to clean it and a huge garden for growing our own vegetables, flowers and so on-plus a gardener-I have a black thumb.
For my house in Maine I'd do the same minus the pool (too cold) and I'd also like it to be on waterfront property either by the ocean or lakefront. For this house I can have more choice in housing styles. I've always loved 1970's style housing (NOT like the Brady Bunch house) but with really cool angles and lots of windows. I think I'd look for something like that.
Ah, it's nice to dream-isn't it?

Well on this day at this exact moment, any home not in this state is my dream home. I would be happy to be living in my travel trailer as long as it wasn't here. We cannot wait to leave CA, but issues with our house are making it not so easy right now. Perfect house would be a smaller home on wooded property. I don't want to see or hear other people.

I can't find anything on-line that truly resembles what I want at this stage in my life. A friend of mine's parents, when I was young, had the only thing that came close and is probably where I got my vision for my dream home. My children are grown, both are Military families and I don't see that changing for a long time, so I want a home that would accommodate both of them and their spouses (and eventually their children) coming to visit at the same time. I want a single story u-shaped home that has a pool/spa/entertaining area in the backyard middle of the U. On either arm of the U there would be a suite that included 2 small bedrooms. One would fit a queen bed, one would fit either bunk beds or a day bed with a trundle, a small bathroom and a small living space that would include a small wet bar, fridge and microwave. These would be small but efficient and give each family a place to retreat. Each of the suites would have a door out to the pool on one side, a door to a parking spot on one side and access to the main part of the house. When you open the front door of the home you would have a sight line hall (wide hall) to the pool. To the immediate left when you come in would be an open kitchen/dining space and to the immediate right would be the open living area. All open, no walls in that area, you can see from the kitchen all the way through the dining to the living room. Beyond the kitchen/dining area to the left of the sight line would be a movie room with door access to the pool and sight line hall. Beyond the living room to the right of the sight line would be a game room with a pool table/ darts etc... It would also have a tv for sports. It too, would have access to the pool and the sight line hall. To the right of the living area would be the hall to one of the suites, the laundry room and to the master suite. The master would include master bath, walk in closet and access door to the laundry room. On the other side of the kitchen would be a hallway to the other suite, to a craft/workout room and garage access. I'd include a powder room somewhere in the configuration. The living room would have a fireplace, and there would be lots of windows for natural light. It needs to be on an acre or 2 so my dh can also have a large shop to tinker and have his boat. It needs to be someplace that the pool doesn't need to be closed for the winter. (We had that here in WA for 16 years and it's just a pain and it's ugly in the winter LOL). It will never happen, we just sold our 4k sq ft house with a pool to downsize, since it's just dh and I. It was just way too much space for 2 people. We have plenty of room for everyone to come visit in our 1800 sq ft home, it'll just be tight if they ever all come at once. You asked for my dream house and that is what I see.

I am honestly not too picky. I would want an eat in kitchen, lots of light and those Southern wrap around porches. Even then I will be happy with a house just with good light. I hate the light in my condo. The living room is ok but everything else is so drab.

We live in 399 square feet of house so anything with a coat closet, a second bedroom and a bit more storage space would be wonderful. It'd be great if it had a storage shed and a flat area where the cowboy could work on his truck. It can't be dark and gloomy. This house is so light and airy with lots of windows which I love.

I want my retirement home to have a first floor master, a first floor laundry and a coat closet. A soaking tub sounds perfect. I would love a screened in porch & a deck and an attached garage. My current house is small, 1,500 sf, and lacks my entire wish list, except the deck. But it is well built, from 1938, and has nice woodwork, 6 over 1 wavy paned glass windows and hardwood floors. Plus as of last month, it is completely ours, no mortgage! Your current home sounds lovely to me and CONGRATULATIONS on being mortgage free! That must feel fantastic❣

House right on the beach of a tropical island. One where I can catch fresh fish and seafood and have a small grove of fruit trees and a veggie garden. One where there is a long deck with a porch swing and a hammock in the yard.
Yeah...my dream.

If I win the lottery tomorrow I’d find an older brick building in a town center that I could have an art gallery and an apartment. And yes my apartment would be single floor with lots of closets. I’d also put in a studio for DD because I’d hope to lure her back home someday when she’s ready to settle. DD could inherit my gallery & studio. Don’t worry I’d have something for DS too but it’s not as solidly thought out yet. I mean if I won the lotto I’d figure something out lol Oh, I ❤️ this idea. My DS2 has similar plans, but have his office on the main floor and his apartment residence above.

Brand new, 1/4 acre lot with a lake or something in the backyard to give us privacy but that we would not have to maintain. Our current house is 30 years old, dated, everything is breaking or has been replaced/fixed. We have an acre lot which may not be huge but it is a major PIA to take care of. We are in the south and grass grows 10+ months per year and the weeds never stop growing. I'm always outside pulling weeds, trimming shrubs, etc. It is never ending and I'm so sick and tired of it. I can relate. We're about to embark on some updating and refinishing on our 16 year old home like removing the rest of the popcorn ceilings (we've done 2 rooms so far and it looks so good!) and we have a 1/2 acre lot with constant yard work (also live in the south).

We have a library that I would move into if allowed. It’s built in the Craftsman style but with sculptured blocks. I feel so comfortable there. The flooring is a type of vinyl or linoleum that is really cool. It’s had custom designs made in it and it seems really easy to maintain. It doesn’t look like Granny’s flooring, but rather somewhat flexible. I think it might be a good choice if you had family members you were concerned would fall easily. I want a single floor home that is wheelchair accessible for my mom and DH’s future problems. At least 4 bedrooms, preferably with a bathroom for each bedroom. My bathroom would have a wet area that connected the shower and a Japanese style soaking tub. The kitchen would adjoin a sitting area so my family could be close while I cook. There would be one big room for TV and DH’s computers, as well as a den/office where we could go when we needed privacy for calls or business. I’d like a greenhouse built onto the house, so I could be close in case someone needed me, but far enough apart from them that I could talk to my plants without my family answering or getting jealous. A screened in porch with an outside space for my grill and smoker. A garden at least as big as what I have now, but better kept. LOL. Trees, lots of trees, but far away not to interfere with our solar panels. Maybe an orchard... I love windows and light, but I want the good windows, triple paned and double hung with good screens. I love our attic fan, so one of those would be nice, too. No carpet! Too many allergies here. I may have given this some thought. LOL Marcy Marcy, your dream sound amazing! I also talk to my plants. 😆

An Airstream travel trailer....the 26RBQ in Truffle décor being towed by an F-350 King Ranch. This way the whole USA and Canada could be my backyard and I get to change my view and neighbors at my desire. I spent part of my childhood in a travel trailer and I loved it. We moved everytime my mom would start work on building a new power plant and it was the way of life. I like your style.

single story with 3 bedrooms - two baths (maybe an additional powder room). Master bedroom would have SEPARATE walk-in closets. Master bath wouldn't have a tub but it would have a walk-in shower (accessible) with a hand-held shower head and a bench. Only need one sink in the master bath. I would like a separate dining room, a living room, a library (instead of a family room - with beautiful floor to ceiling shelves and a window seat), and a small bonus room for my sewing/scrapbooking/computer. Kitchen with a pantry (butler's pantry would be a plus -I had one once and loved it) Wrap-around porches are a must and the whole house and garden needs to be wheelchair accessible (because I'm realistic about my future). I would like a HUGE bonus room - either as a second story or over the double garage - that DH can use for his Lego etc... It would come with a gardener because I love beautiful gardens and have NO green thumb at all (nor do I have the physical abilty to do a lot of garden tasks) Lots of dogwood trees and a white picket fence Linda, I can see this❣ DH has MS, so I am totally thinking along the same line. I am pretty sure a double door front door is a must have in our next place.

I have a pool now, and won't do it again, but a lake would be awesome.
