The problem is that if China or USA items become more expensive, many people can be priced out of buying. This affects specially the non essential items like craft items, even clothing. I look at the die sets being sold, $25-30 is a lot. I don’t know where they are made but I know companies have a lot of overhead expenses. Imagine is that price increases. Would you pay 35-40 for a matching set of dies for your stamps? Would those companies survive? There is no easy solution.
