I have the TH platform and have not had that experience...perhaps you need to request a replacement. Nothing worse than a tool that doesn't do what you need it too!

Yours may be defective. I have two of the Tim Holtz stamp platforms, and both work great.
However.....I have noticed that my stamp table surface makes a huge difference. I have three plastic tables in my craft room, and one that is wood. The wood one gives solid support, and I get perfect and consistent stamping results. The plastic ones do not give sufficient support. I get spotty stamping results on those tables. To verify whether it is the stamp platform or the table you are using, try using the platform on a granite counter, or a tile or hardwood floor to see if you get better results.
Last night while stamping, I forgot, and used my stamp platform on one of my plastic tables. I did not get good results. I moved to the wood table and got perfect results.
I also have noticed that I have one or two stamps that are slightly thicker, and when grouped with others, a neighboring stamp has an area that does not stamp correctly until that slightly thicker stamp is removed. If you are stamping two or more stamps at once, and one of them is not getting good results, take off all other stamps except the problem stamp. See if it stamps well by itself. If you still get an area that does not stamp, change the position of the stamp. Change how and where you press. See if any of it makes a difference.
Other than those two issues, neither of which were the fault of the platform, my Tim Holtz stamp platforms have worked extremely well for me.

I have a hard plastic mat covering my desk surface and I also have to take it off when stamping. I have the misty and I don’t know if it has warped but when I stamp multiple stamps at once I usually have trouble getting a good impression and have to stamp multiple times.

Scrapnnanna, Thanks for the great tips. I never considered myself a stamper, since I could never get a good impression. I didn't buy the Misti, way too expensive coupled with poor customer service. Since I bought the TH platform, which I just love, I now consider myself to be a stamper.

ahhh I bet that's it! My table is plastic! Thanks for that tip I will check that out!!! I notice a huge difference when I stamp at home on my solid, sturdy, heavy table and when I stamp at our monthly get-togethers on plastic tables.

Agree that you might have a defective one. Mine is one of the original European models and works great.
