scrapincin, I think you chose the perfect paper and design for Maggie's post. This is the most heartwarming page. Thank you for sharing that sweet moment. I'm glad you are doing well. I hope you didn't get our snow! grammadee, I love to see you dabbling in all the fun artsy parts of this hobby. You are very talented and very brave. I'm always a bit worried about the mess. Perhaps if I cleaned up a larger space to work I could be braver. I have too many supplies too close to my work area. kellyr21, I love your art!!! I am always so amazed by all of the techniques you do. I love that you try all kinds of art. Your art makes me happy. I find it hard to believe that you are completely self taught. You had to have inherited some of that ability. I wish you lived close so you could teach me. Not much time to chat today, I have to substitute in a "Women's Only" meeting tonight. It's for women who have loved ones (husband, children, etc) ensnared in addiction. I need to spend some time preparing. These are usually very emotional meetings. I'll be back later to chat.

scrapincin, that page is so sweet. The background paper is beautiful. I'm glad you are feeling better. kellyr21, I love the story of you and Ron. Both of your parents get to take credit for getting you together. I love your paintings, especially the blue/purple background. But they are all gorgeous. grammadee, It's so fun to play with art supplies. I'm sure you're having fun. I think I'm already dropping out of the 100days. Maybe if I did 100 recipes, I could have made that work. You know, the family has to eat. And we're all a bunch of foodies. I've actually been good about crafting for at least 10 minutes each day for the last week. But I've become really bad about not posting to instagram or here. nylene, I hope your meeting went well. We got hit last Friday with rain. By the time I awoke Saturday morning, it was snow. They seemed to get hit harder to the north of us. Church was even canceled and schools today. Sunday was a mix of snow and rain together. But not like any form I've ever seen before. I made the kids go look at it. The good news is that they're calling for the 50s by next weekend. I received the call from the w/d delivery service - tomorrow between 1:30 & 5:30pm. Keep your fingers crossed it actually gets delivered this time. Otherwise the piles of laundry will be mountains, and I'll never get out from under them. Other than that, I got nothing. I hope everyone has a wonderful week.

Good Monday morning, Pokeys! How is your week shaping up? woodysbetty, when do you leave for your river cruise? I bet you are excited about that. What sites will you be visiting along the way? Hoping you are still making steady progress, scrapincin. Loved seeing your page. How has the weather been treating you, LisaDV? Dd and family have been house bound all weekend with the blizzards and ice storms there. They have been telling us stories of huge drifts and other people's vehicles stuck in the middle of their street. Dgs thinks this is VERY exciting--like a TV show right outside their front window. Dd not so much. Hope you don't spend all your extra time deep cleaning, nylene. You must have some fun photos of your California trip to scrap. msliz how is the reorganization going? When does your dd get back from college? I am bumbling along, making lists of what to take on my trip to BC at the end of this week, and to the crop at the end of the month. I will be home only a couple of days between the two, so will have to be pretty organized before I leave. Have the laundry done and sorted, so I guess that is one thing done. Don't seem to have much energy to do anything today, so as I said, bumbling along...

woodysbetty and grammadee , sounds like you are both getting ready for a trip and some fun. Hope everything falls into place for you both. Have great trips! LisaDV , have the washer and dryer arrived? I hope so and that you are in 7th heaven to have them set up. How are you all doing on the Challenges this month? I cleaned up my scraproom, found a photo from last Spring and messed things up while I scrapped the page. It's impossible that my room will ever STAY clean. When I have a clear table I feel that I have to sit down and scrap. kellyr21 , what are you working on now. Your artwork is beautiful and amazing. scrapincin , how are you feeling today? I hope you can do some more scrapping. I'm sure it felt good to sit down and scrap Maggie's beautiful tribute. @elaynef , I hope your daughter is doing better. Have they tried anything new? msliz , I think I saw on another thread that you are working on some of the Challenges this month with justjac and grammadee and LisaDV . I don't know how you guys keep up with all that! You are all superwomen! My meeting Sunday night went well. We had a good turn out and the women seemed upbeat as they left. I think addiction is becoming such a plague in families. Here's the page that messed up my clean table: The Incredibles Meet Batman by Nylene Budge, on Flickr

nylene, love that bright yellow with the design coming out from the photo. I'm glad your meeting went well. You are amazing to be there to support families in this way! We moved to a sleepy little town. At a town meeting, an EMS worker mentioned that drugs are here. He repeatedly gets called to some of the same places due to it, and there are a lot more than we realize. So yes, I do think it is way more prevalent today. grammadee, the snow continued. It actually is calling for some today too, but it has yet to materialize. Knocking on wood it doesn't. Yesterdays snow fall led my dd to dress in spring clothes so someone up there would get the hint as to what season it is suppose to be right now. DS immediately went into the other room so he wouldn't be in smiting distance. lol. woodysbetty, enjoy your trip and have safe travels. Your trip sounds fabulous. Your dh is definitely a keeper. scrapincin, I hope you are getting better and better with each day. I have a new washer and dryer! HURRAY! I'm going to need a step stool to reach the controls on the top of the dryer though. lol. I'm 5'3", so on the short side, but these are much larger than the last ones. They are currently running through a cycle. After they finish I can start laundry. And now you know what my next several days will entail. But yes, I'm very excited. I do have to run out tomorrow. Our beagle threw up Saturday night, then again on Sunday morning. I stopped feeding him kibble and just made him scrambled eggs. Several times. On Monday, I included a dish of rice. He kept it all down. This morning I fed him kibble again. He threw up again. (He's on a diet and as a beagle, he eats everything. I do mean every.thing! So we're back to scrambled eggs and he'll go to the vet tomorrow. We're joking that of course, the dog that eats everything, can't eat diet food. It makes him sick. I'd worry about the kibble being bad, but our other dog has not had any problems. The washer just sang it's ending tune, so I guess that's it for me.

Hi Ladies! I am going to post here short and sweet as it is almost dinner time I am doing better every day. I am still weak in the legs but we are working on it. Just do my PT twice a day. My cough is better but still not sleeping. I am sure it is the prednisone. Only a couple mare days. I have not scraped but have some ideas going round in my head. I have made a couple of cards that I have not posted yet. Kellie is sick and they put her on tamiflu and antibiotics. She is coughing and wheezing but can't say for sure what she has cuz she gets sick every year this time. nylene we got snow but only about 1/4 inch. It is cold though. I will try to be back after dinner . Here are two cards I have made! minion birthday by Cindy Blair, on Flickr Celebrate You by Cindy Blair, on Flickr

Congrats on a new washer/dryer, LisaDV. I know you will enjoy them even though it involves work. I'm just 5'2" if I stretch a little, so I need a step stool to reach everything! Have fun. scrapincin, your cards are wonderful. I have a bunch of grandsons who would love those minions. That flower stamp on the other card is really pretty. Glad you are still hanging in there. I hope the cough clears up and that you can get some sleep soon. My Card Club friend got sick in January and is still coughing and has been diagnosed with Flu B now on top of pneumonia. I hope that's not what Kellie has and I hope she doesn't give you what she does have. I did a couple of Christmas pages last night but haven't scanned them and I have too much stuff piled on my scanner to do it right now. I'm doing some reorganizing, and will post when I can get to the scanner. Did I tell you we will be having another wedding this summer. Eric's Cassidy got engaged last weekend and will be married in September. My grands are outgrowing me! The 17,16, and 2 14-year old girls still want to do cousin camp so that Sammie can be involved. She's 10 and really looks forward to it. Be back later. Have a great night!

Good morning, Pokeys! Love seeing your Incredibles page, nylene. Looking forward to seeing your Christmas pages. What fun to have a wedding to look forward to! You and @elaynef will both have a wonderful time with family and friends. I suspect dgk weddings must be sort of like dgk births: all of the joy and none of the pain! I love your cards, scrapincin. Glad you are feeling well enough to play! Hoping Kellie is feeling better too. Do you think she has the same stain of the flu that laid you flat? Please be very careful not to have a relapse. Glad your washer & drier arrived and are working away for you, LisaDV. Do you have any of the Simple Stories line ("Domestic Goddess" or something?) from last year. You really need to scrap your laundry experience, and that line has some really cute images and sayings. Hope you can figure out what is wrong with your dog. Maybe there is something to which he is sensitive in that particular diet kibble. Bon Voyage, woodysbetty! Take lots of photos and don't forget to drop in and tell us about your adventures when you get back. I am home this morning, paying a few bills on line and getting a few things organized. Placed an order for a bunch of Karen Burniston dies for interactive cards for justjac and me. Cause we NEED more dies, LOL. Leaving this afternoon to drive to Edmonton to fly to BC. Can't wait to get somewhere that SPING has arrived! Still about a foot of snow on our front yard. It is finally melting, and I slept with the window open last night for the first time in months. It was wonderful breathing fresh air and hearing the dripping from the eaves all night. The plan is for me to stay with the dgd's while ddil is off for a girls' weekend and ds is playing with the band in Calgary. Looking forward to spending time with the girls, and maybe getting to see my dgs play a game of baseball with his college team. I am taking my art journal and a few supplies with me to play around with when the girls are in school and to "keep up with" the 100 Days Project. Won't be home until Wednesday evening. OK. Bye for now! Have a wonderful Thursday!

scrapincin- so glad you felt like making something! Hope you can sleep soon. I know that is miserable. woodysbetty- have a wonderful cruise. I am soooo jealous nylene- you're having a wedding, too....what fun. Can't wait to hear all about it. still praying for your dh eyes. grammadee-Hope you have a great week in the spring weather in bc and with the grands. We went for our walk at 5 pm yesterday....did not look at the temp...it was 93!!! we made it but there was some sweating going on lisadv- so glad you got your laundry. I hope that never happens again! Once my washer broke and I sent dh to the store. He called and said, it'll be 2 weeks before installation...I made him go somewhere else to buy it. Ain't nobody got time for that. kellyr21 love your art...would love to be able to do something like that. One of my friends took a watercolor class once and gave me a bluebonnet painting. I still have it displayed on a shelf. misliz hope your dd is doing better and you have a good crop located. It's fun how we are all different...I can only scrap at home. I did go to a crop once at dd house, but I forgot so many things I didn't get a whole lot done. justjac happy holidays and best wishes with WW. I did WW once and it really works.I lost 99 lbs, but as we all know, it will come back and it did because I didn't keep the good habits I learned. We are having a nice peaceful time right now before the wedding. We celebrated our 51st with a short trip to a play. Our 4 grands that live in Lubbock went with us. We found a few bluebonnets to stop and take pics of but nothing unusual. We take them every year, so it's hard to find a new perspective. No decisions yet about our trip to Florida. I'm thinking we are going to fly and not try to do anything else. I've looked for a side trip, but haven't come up with anything that wouldn't be too hot at humid in May. We usually head to the mountains that time of the year. Georgia is a possibility, but that would really be a LONG road trip. There are some really nice mountains in North Georgia and we have only been there once. I'm working a little on the grands albums, but haven't tried any of the challenges... I can't get motivated to concentrate enough to look at them. I'm just sticking with my old tried and true habits. One of my dgs has modified a bus to make a coffee shop. He has been working on it several months. He lives in NC and is almost ready to open it. His mom sent me a pic today. One pic had him in it and he is so skinny....his mom said he is working so hard, he forgets to eat. He has been in love with coffee for several years. He has a roaster and knows more about coffee that anyone should know. Attachments:

Happy Thursday!!! I hope you all are doing well today. My week has been ok. Working on art and all my regular routine things. Oh, I forgot to tell you. That holly hock painting I did... well the best part was I did it with Q-tips and an old gift card! When the artist said we would make this painting with these household items I was all in. Glad you all like these paintings. scrapincin- So happy you are feeling better little by little. The cards you made are just beautiful! nylene- Congrats on your dg's engagement. How many of your grands are married? I know it must be so exciting to see them cross over to marriage. @lisdv- Hip Hip Hooray!!! You finally got your washer/dryer! I know you must of been so excited to use it. How are they working so far? Can I send my laundry to ya too? LOL! How is your doggy feeling too? grammadee- Spring is being shy up there! I hope this means your Summer will last long to make up for all this extra cold. sending you some of our warmth. @elaynef- Happy 51st!!!!! Wishing you many more years of loving bliss. What a cool idea to make a coffee shop in that bus. That is being creative. Let us know how it goes. Waving hi to you all. Off to the gallery to see your layouts and cards. Have a great afternoon.

Hi everyone. I'm loving the new washer. I put loads in that would have been 2 or 3 loads in the old washer even when it was in perfect working order. It's so nice to be able to do large loads. My dog checked out fine. She thinks maybe he was just eating too fast which he's always done. But I've started softening the kibble with water and in his bowl I turn a cup upside down to make him have to slow down a bit to get it. Seems to have done the trick. No more throw up. whew! scrapincin, love those cards. I like how you have the balloon popping out on the minion one. And those minions are great. I'm so glad you feel up to crafting. nylene, congrats on your dgk's wedding news. How exciting. I can't wait to see your Christmas pages, too. grammadee, thanks for the line suggestion. I'll check it out. We still have snow too. I'm hoping it will be melting off in the next several days. I hope you have a wonderful trip. @elaynef, Happy belated anniversary! It's sweet that you took your dgk's with you for your celebratory play. Your dgs's coffee bus is super cool. He's done a great job. Waving hi to everyone.

Arrived safe & sound last night ddil will be leaving shortly with her friends. Busy day for me today ferrying kids and their equipment to various activities. A guitar needs to be delivered to a school talent show before 11:00am ( no non school people allowed in the gym so I just need to drop it off and come back to get it later). Then the second girl needs snacks delivered to her basketball tourney. The third one needs to be picked up at school and taken to swimming lessons before picking up her sister at the tourney.
Beginning to think I should be working for Uber or maybe UPS!

@elaynef , that bus is amazing. I hope he does a great business. Will he drive it around or is it stationary now. grammadee , I had to laugh at your Uber or UPS reference. They are really keeping you hopping. I hope you get time to enjoy the kids as well as running their errands and getting them to and fro. LisaDV , I'm glad your dog is OK. After the loss of the chicken, you can't lose another pet. Your washer/dryer sounds wonderful. I hope you continue to enjoy them. scrapincin , you must be continuing to do well as you are scrapping. Keep in touch and have a restful weekend. woodysbetty , I hope you have a wonderful trip. kellyr21, you made that painting with q-tips and a credit card? That sounds like something you will have to explain. Beautiful work. I love your art. I really got the scrapping bug and after finishing my Christmas pages, I did a bunch more. I'll post them tonight or tomorrow. Of course that means my room is a big mess again. I might as well admit that it's going to look like this most of the time.

Glad you are excited about our dgs bus, too. He had his first morning and his mom said he had a steady stream of customers and is in a really good location Here is a link to the fb page with updates from last night's opening and answers to most of your questions. It is far away so I don't know a lot about it either but I'm hoping he makes a success of it..he has a lot of investers, including us that he needs to please! He is a really awesome kid and he is very attentive and sweet to his grandparents. www.facebook.com/taprootmobile/?hc_ref=ARQt3ZUpvF06-QgcLAwyRLwNrNsrKHZZtZWyc4EdU0U_oi6CNgJ3Xj61hN4UDJi_NEs

Went to the ICU yesterday to deliver 2 baskets of goodies for tem to snack on-ad Lifesavers were included! I found the cutest scrub shirt that I made up on the Cameo-found on Pinterest. Several of the nurses that took care of me were there and were glad to see me and that I was doing the activity I am doing. Snack trays for ICU found inspiration n Pinterest by Cindy Blair, on Flickr

Good Sunday morning, Pokeys! What a sweet thing to do for the hospital staff, scrapincin ! Love those scrubs! Lovely pages, nylene . I agree that if time is limited, it should be spent playing, not cleaning! I love that coffee bus, @elaynef. What a cool idea! Will he be setting up in parking lots near sporting tournaments? I saw a food truck set up Friday between dgd's basketball tourney and the soccer tourney next door. We had another busy day yesterday with the girls. Dgs had an exam so couldn't play baseball, but he came over to visit after his exam, and we all went out for supper. The funniest adventure I have no photos for. To go for supper, dgs went ahead with one of the girls, and when we left to meet him, the 12 year old dgd convinced me I did not need Siri to direct me, because she knew exactly where the restaurant was. Well, she did, but directed me to the wrong exit and we ended up driving AWAY from it. She panicked and decided to get Siri involved, and we started following the sure voice on my iPhone. But I was sure we were not going in the right direction, so I pulled over. Turns out we were headed on a 2 1/2 day road trip to a location in the US! I fed in the address and started driving when Srir started giving us directions. When we had turned off the highway the first time, we came up behind a bunch of guys on motorcycles. They got ahead of us a ways when we stopped, but we soon came up behind them. The funny thing is that they were on the same round about route we were, and we followed them almost all the way back to the restaurant. Dgd and I kept gesturing to them, saying, "and what's up with THEM???" and laughing. Because I am often sent off to take dgks somewhere, or pick them up from unfamiliar places in the cities where they live, most of them have been lost with Gramma at least once! I've often told them, "don't be afraid to get lost. Just make sure you can find your way home"

Happy Tuesday ladies! We had a nice weekend and so far the week is quiet. Just the regular routines here. The weather is pleasant and warm. I hope to get more art and crafts started this week. Trying to figure out what I want to make for Mother's Day. I want to use all this floral art but still thinking about it. Hummmm. scrapincin- What a sweet thing to do for the nurses and staff at the hospital. We are all grateful for the good care they gave you. grammadee- What an adventure you had! LOL! Maybe those motorcycle dudes were your guardian angels taking you back to the restaurant. Your dgd will remember this for a long while. What a fun memory. nylene- You asked how I made the holly hocks with the q-tips and plastic gift card. Well, the stems were made with the card edge going up and down. The flowers were made with the q-tip. Who would of thought you could make all that with such simple supplies. So cool! LisaDV- How is your new w/d doing? Have you gotten use to it yet?

@elaynef, glad your dgs's opening was a success. woodysbetty, enjoy your trip and safe travels. nylene, beautiful pages. scrapincin, that is so thoughtful and sweet. that superheros in scrubs shirt is adorable. grammadee, "don't be afraid to get lost. Just make sure you can find your way home" that is a great saying. We used to love what we called "adventure days". They were days that we'd just start driving. At each intersection, one person and the the next, would call out which direction to go. You never knew where you'd end up and what you'd end up doing. Usually at least once per adventure day, we would be totally lost. But DH would be like well that way is east or west (based on the sun) so we can always find our way. kellyr21, I'm sure both of your mom's would be thrilled to have one of your paintings. They are so lovely. Here, just life going on. I'm working on a project for dh. DH, along with 2 close friends, hosts a gaming convention each year or close to. This year it's the first weekend of May. Don is running 2 games this year - Axis and Allies & The Thing. It's not just playing the game in groups, they do props and things that take game playing to the next level. He's having a huge board of Axis and Allies made. I bought folders in the same colors as the pieces and feathers (pens will be attached) so if you play red, your folder and pen feather will be red. For The Thing, (I never watched the movie as I'm not into horror or scary movies), but there is a part that has blood in a petri dish. If you've been infected by the alien blood, your blood is alive and it shoots out of the petri dish if (can't remember what they do) So I have a clay model of what we think blood shooting out of the petri dish would look like (as best we can get, help from dh and ds on this). I've finally gotten it hardened after it broke 2x and I had to fix with more clay. Today, I hope to make the silicone cast of it. Then after that cures, I'll make a resin mold of it. I even bought glow in the dark red pigment to color the resin with. The other petri dishes will just be filled with regular red colored resin to be normal blood. It's just props for his game, but I've never done casting before so I'm excited to try a new thing. Most of our snow is finally melted. There is still spots in and around the trees where you still see snow (and it was in the 60s the last 2 days). It had a light rain yesterday, and dd was excited because it was perfect morel mushroom rain. I hope we get a lot this year. Fairly uneventful. So I will take my leave and get on with it

Hello Pokeys. Today was my last day at school. I have been tutoring a little guy all year who read so poorly and resisted any help, but last week began to read like a pro. We moved him up a level and today I tested him out of the 2 levels above that. I asked him how he had magically learned to read so well. His response was, "I moved the blocks in my brain." The weird thing is that I didn't learn to read until I was ten and I always felt like someone just opened a door in my brain. He is so proud of himself. I wish I had another week with him because I think we could test him out of at least another level. He was 2 years behind and he is now less than an year behind. grammadee , your adventure sounds like something I would do. I don't have a phone with directions, but I manage to get lost often. LOL I hope you have a great time with the grands and a safe trip home. kellyr21 , I know whatever you do for your mothers will be greatly appreciated. Thanks for the info about the hollyhocks techniques. That sounds like fun. LisaDV , you are the best wife! Who else would make shooting blood from a petri dish? LOL. My son-in-law does those kinds of gaming things with his brothers. Through the year they just play together on line, but then get together in the summer for Super Gamers. I hope they have a great time and that you accomplish all you need to do. scrapincin , how are you doing? Have you been able to get the portable O2 device? I watched the national weather and it looks like it is trying to be Spring in your area too. We have had 2 nice, quite warm days and warmer days coming until weekend when another small storm is coming in. I hope you are enjoying watching the birds from your porch. Sending waves and hugs to woodysbetty , @elaynef , msliz, justjac and maribeth . I look forward to having a little more time now that I am through with school for the year.

Hi Pokeys, Great layouts nylene. You asked earlier if I was doing the 100 day project. I am, but I'm practicing brush lettering. I have a workbook and so far all I do is trace the letters. I've done all the small letters and just finished F in the capitals. I have a photo of what I did each day, but they're not very exciting. scrapincin those are so cute! LisaDV those props sound awesome. My DH might get together with friends to play Axis and Allies, too, but it will just be a regular game. Weight Watchers is working for me so far. I'm down 15 pounds, and I have 60-80 to go depending on what I decide my goal weight is. I'm busy trying to pack for our crop this weekend. It is hosted only a few blocks from my house so I don't know why this stresses me out so much. We are also trying to get the house cleaned before grammadee and my friend Kristi arrive to stay with us. I'm stage managing two one act plays that will be preformed in June. There's only one rehearsal a week, so it is a much smaller time commitment. I'd rather be acting, but I didn't get cast this time. I hope you're having a blast woodysbetty!

I am home. Flew into Edmonton early afternoon. Took some time to stop quickly at a SB store, print my pic's, then lunch, and Costco before heading out on the road. The snow is all magically gone here! But it is nowhere as green and pretty as Abbotsford. Thursday morning I have a doctor's appointment, and then I need to get busy packing for the crop. I have lists and lists of lists, but very little collected in one place. justjac, I am counting on you to have all the stuff I forgot. I said "have", not actually cart it to the crop ahead of time! My knee has chosen this week to act up: started after the plane ride last week. I will probably need another cortisone shot, but haven't called to see if and when I can get one. VERY thankful for my wheeled cart, the ramp at home and the elevator at the crop site. Off to sleep in my own bed. Will be back to spread a little love in the Gallery in the morning.

Good Morning All! Sorry I didn't make it here yesterday but I was so tired for some reason. I could barely keep my eyes open and dozed off several times in my chair. I think I got caught up in the gallery and if I did miss something I apologize. My portable o2 concentrator will be here tomorrow. I just checked tracking and it actually left Columbus about 15 minutes before that Once it gets here I call the oxygen specialist and she will walk me thru getting it ready to operate. She's in CA so will still be working even if it gets here at the very end of the day. It will be so nice to not be tripping over tubing. I have PT this morning too. I think it really is beginning to help. MY legs are getting stronger. justjac and grammadee- Have fun at your crop. I have a feeling You will. I worry about you getting some sleep. I would probably be half the night chatting. All the nurses and staff seemed glad to see me looking half way human the other day. I know I had to look better then I did the day I left. They only worry about you being alive. No time for primping! There were so many different ones I need to get into my scraproom today, My neighbor's birthday is the 30th and I want to make her a very special mini album about her dog-our 9-5 dog. The day I had my episode I was supposed to help her go thru the vet putting her dog down as he could barely use his back legs anymore. The vet is gentle and knew what Barb was going thru. I wasn't here to help her but she did ok. I have numerous photos of the the dog but plan on only adding a few and leaving room for the photos she has, I ave pulled the papers and some chipboard pieces I already had.So will get bus y after the PT girl comes. Alright I wrote a book so closing for now!

scrapincin, you are so thoughtful. Your neighbor is going to love the album. Does she have plans for another dog that can be your 9-5 dog too? Glad you are doing well and that you will get your portable O2 machine set up soon. I'm sure it will be more freeing. justjac and grammadee, I wish all the Pokey could join you at your crop. I hope you get a lot done and have fun enjoying each other and other participants. I hope your knee settles down, Dee. I am waving hi to each of you. I am busy making B-day cards today for the 4 family b-days in the next 10 days. It's DH's birthday tomorrow. Have a great weekend.

Such a sweet thing to do for your neighbour, @scrapncin. I bet that going through the pics and making the album helped YOU to grieve that 9-5 part of your family. Hoping you take some time to celebrate end of year, nylene. Congratulations on that boy's progress! Now that the "blocks have been moved" in his mind, hopefully he can continue to read and enjoy it. And in the fall he can continue to raise his reading levels. One of the reasons I went into secondary education for my BEd was that I had no idea how I learned to read, and the thought of teaching first graders was terrifying. Love your pages, but still have not stopped in at the Gallery. What an amazing wife you are, LisaDV, making all those props for your hubby's game night! I have my vehicle loaded with scrapping supplies, and in an hour or so I am on the road again, heading to the weekend crop. Hoping to get some pages done to earn points for my team for the April Team challenge. (I guess they will each earn a point, but to get bonus points a page must meet one of the month's challenges &/or be shared by end of day Monday.) I have the challenges printed off to take with me. Have a wonderful weekend, Pokeys!

Happy Friday! Wishing you all a good day and weekend. I am still painting more flowers. Yesterday, I stumbled into making another type of flower. They looks like impatiens. So now I can do roses and impatiens. I wanted to have some prints made of a few of these flowers for sale at my dh's job. They like buying my cards and thought I would add some art this time. scrapincin- So good to see you crafting and enjoying yourself. Thank goodness for our crafts. They do keep us happy. Did you see the NFL draft? I caught the first part. I thought Sam Darnold was going to your Browns. He is our guy from USC. I hope the guy Mayfield will be good for your team. nylene- You are such a good encourager I am not surprised that little dude started reading better. What a rewarding experience for both of you. Yeah, I wish you could continue to work with him throughout the Summer. If I was him mom I would hire you to work with him. grammadee- Oh no on your knee!!! I hope you can take it easy and that knee feels better. Have you recovered from your travels? justjac- You are doing great on your WW! That is so good. And also what a fun thing to be working with those plays. Will you be acting anytime soon? I know you must enjoy being on stage. Keep us posted. LisaDV- How are your chickens and other animals doing these days? Is it warm there yet? I hope so. I heard someone day the east is going from winter to summer. I hope not! ya'll need spring too.

Happy Monday! and last day of April! nylene , it doesn't surprise me at all how well that boy has done under your tutelage. I have left love on your fantastic pages yesterday. I was trying to work through the gallery and catch up. I did make it to about April 16th. I still have a few days to go. justjac , congrats on the weight loss. I keep saying I'm going to start walking on the treadmill, and then I'm always too tired. scrapincin , that's so sweet of you to do for your neighbor. I'm so sorry for her loss. How is the new O2 tank working? grammadee , I just saw so many layouts from you on the April team challenge! Great job! You really cranked them out! I hope to make it to the gallery soon to leave you love. kellyr21 , I love the idea of your art work on your cards. I can see those selling like crazy. Animals are good. I've told dh no more ducks unless we have a spot for them from day one, no house. They are really dirty. We purchased a prefab 10-12 chicken coop on Friday. Unfortunately, Don won't have time until May 10th to put it together. Here the weather should be close to 70 today and the sun is shining, ahhh! So nice. Unfortunately, Don returned from Texas on Saturday the 21st with a bug which had him sick by Sunday. DD was the first to follow him down the road to sickness last Wednesday. Then on Friday, luckily after we saw Infinity War, ds followed suit. He would have been devastated to get sick and not be able to see the movie. And he is the only one that runs fevers for even a small cold. He ran a fever of 103 that night. Finally down to 101 by 4:30 am where he could sleep for more than a few minutes without stirring. I have been fighting the stupid thing all week myself. I've been off and on with a sore throat, making sure I take lots of airborne and other germ fighting things, and on a particularly bad day made my garlic, broccoli, cayenne pepper lunch which usually staves off colds. So far I still haven't succumbed but the chance is still lingering with my throat and now sinuses acting up off and on. So that tells you how the last half of my last week has been. Plus being the healthy one, leave me to not just care for them but do all the other homestead chores each day. So very little down time and what I have has mainly been sitting with one or the other child. It's just a bad cold and we'll all be better soon, but dh and ds leave this Wednesday for their long weekend and I really want ds to feel better. DH is on the down swing of his. And dd & I, of course, are using the time for some real various types fun - sewing, movies, and cooking. Also, I have special marbling paints, plus she wanted to try a couple of techniques of some sort. My hope is that we also start our seeds since I'm now 1 month behind when I wanted to start them. So I hope that she is feeling better by then and that I don't get a full blown case of it. Oh, and BFF sent an invitation to her dd's high school graduation on the May 12th. I didn't know anything about it until it arrived in my mailbox last Friday. So I now have to make a quick trip to southern Illinois for that weekend. So I won't be able to help dh put together the chicken coop or clean the chicken coop. We wanted to do a thorough cleaning before putting the baby teen chicks in it. I hate not being here to help. But really need to go as well. So I hope to be back next week, but it may be the 2nd week of May before I get back to the pokey's. So have a good beginning of May.
