Grad Partners Don't want to hijack the blogger thread, but I have to ask about your daughter's graduation b/c I've never seen such formal attire for graduation. What is a grad partner? Like a prom date? Beautiful pics and layouts! |

I'm up with another installment in my dd's graduation. It's one of my favourites and yet couldn't be more simple. Grad Partners Don't want to hijack the blogger thread, but I have to ask about your daughter's graduation b/c I've never seen such formal attire for graduation. What is a grad partner? Like a prom date? Beautiful pics and layouts! Thanks so much. Our school doesn't really do a prom. There is a formal photo session in the afternoon with family and friends, a march down main street with grad partners, then a banquet with immediate family and grads. After dinner, the parents leave and the grads have a dance. The next day is commencement ceremonies in cap and gown and grads walk to the stage with their partners. Picking grad partners is a big deal. Kids start pairing off in grade 7! 30 years later, my dh still keeps in touch with his partner. I'm not from here. We didn't have grad partners. But then again, we had a real prom. on the back of the page is the real story of Julia's grad partner that I couldn't share on the blog. This boy is the school janitors son. She loves Julia and she arranged the pairing in Grade 10. She's kind of intense and kept pushing the two to date. She wanted to come dress shopping. I teased Julia that pretty soon she would show up at the house with a fatted calf and a goat in exchange for the arranged marriage. Lol! |
