I'm at a loss. I really want them "out" where I can see them so that maybe I'll remember to use them more often. But I just don't know how to store them. I don't really have wall space to put up a shelf or rods to "hang" them on.
How do you store yours?

In a couple of IKEA HELMER drawers (I know, not the sort of thing you were asking for - sorry). I don't have a ton, so I keep thinking I should go through and punch an example shape from each of my punches, glue them all to a piece of cardstock and hang that up next to my desk. Maybe that idea would work for you too?

I have mine in a shallow drawer in one of those wide Alex units from Ikea. I have just enough to fill the drawer and be able to see them all.
What about keeping some out on your work space to use for a week or so then rotate them out and pull out different ones?

I purchased this rolling drawer unit (in white) and am organizing my punches by theme. Then I can roll the cart over and work from there and put it away when finished. Yes, I do have a lot of punches! clicky

Mine are in one of those over-the-door shoe organizers.

I have hundreds of punches. I store them all differently. Most of my Martha Stewart punches go on several long shelves, but my EK Success punches store nicely on this Hobby Lobby find ($20) several weeks ago. I have two more shelves similar to this that I am going to put other punches on. They are difficult to store.

first i whittled down my punches to the must-have. then i bought an over-the-door shoe organizer and put the punches in there. since there are only 16 slots, i have to double up in some slots but everything fits well. having the limited space forces me to get rid of old punches if i get new ones.

This is what I use. It is old.....you could get a shoe holder for them.

I don’t have so many that they don’t all fit in one drawer. I can see every punch I own at once. Since I bought two Alex drawer units I now have most of my supplies and stash arranged so it doesn’t get lost in storage boxes. It’s making it easier for me to see and use.

Right now I have my most-used punches in a couple of el cheapo fabric covered jewelry/accessory organizer trays. Sort of like these, but larger. I swap them out with others depending on the season or a particular project I am working on. The others are stored in zippered carrying cases from CM that I've had forever. I bought them when my CM consultant had a clearance sale, LOL. The only problem with this method is that when I pack to go to a crop I have to pretty much switch them all to put the most-used ones into the carrying cases. The punches I don't think I'll need at the crop usually end up dumped willy-nilly into the empty bins of the trays, or dumped in a pile on my worktable if I'm really in a hurry. It's one of the things I really dislike about going to crops. ETA: I keep the storage trays on a little shelf that sits near my worktable, so I can easily access them . It's very convenient, except for the crop thing.

I don't have many, but they share 2 drawers in a 12x12 Sterilite 3-drawer unit with a bunch of deco scissors.

Since you don't have wall space, how about making a chart of all your punches that you can set out where you can see that? Will that help you remember what punches you have?

We built on a fifth bedroom so my kids could have their own rooms downstairs. I am pretty sure I cannot finagle a bigger room... but when they move out...

This was my original die book. I kept them all in an 8 x 8 photo album. Now that I have more 12 inch dies, I have updated it to a larger album. I have seen them on 12 x 24 pieces of cork board.

I purchased antique wooden Coca Cola bottle holders. I have 3. They are perfect for smaller punches and SU punches. I need to get at least 2 more.

I would do the chart thing- punch out one of each of them and stick them to index cards, or larger pieces of cardstock, tags, etc. and keep them together with a book ring. That way you can flip through as you're working, and you would have space on the tags/pages to write the dimensions, if you want, next to the punch-out: 3/4 in. circle, 1.5 in. circle, etc.

I use mini crates; they stack nicely and they are a thick plastic. Punches can get heavy! They aren't that deep that they are hard to look through. They also store 6x6 paper pads perfectly! www.walmart.com/ip/Storex-Mini-Crate/42339069ETA: There are a few colors to choose from.
