So I just got a really nice SU set in unmounted rubber. I'm annoyed because they don't stick. I would use repositionable adhesive but I'm afraid it might warp the image as I press down. Any tips? I have a TH platform but I imagine any sticky tips would be useful no matter which platform you use.

Are the labels on them? I've read that if you stick the labels on the backs, they don't cling very well. I think most people use tack it over and over glue. It's been a criticism of SU unmounted rubber stamps ever since they first came out. On mine, I never put the labels on them.

I'm going to try tacky glue tomorrow.

Don't use Tacky glue, though - use Tack-It-Over-and-Over, or if you have Mono Multi in the white bottle with the green caps, that works just as well. Also, I've had some used sets I bought with stickers on, and the stickers peeled off the foam pretty easily and the stamps stuck again, in case you want to try that.

Took the labels off and got the most beautiful stamped image (it's a really detailed floral stamp). That was the trick. Thanks gale w w! cbet I don't even understand how SU didn't think about this issue especially since they have their own platform.

Thanks gale w w! cbet I don't even understand how SU didn't think about this issue especially since they have their own platform. It's been an issue ever since they came out with their "clear mount" stamps. I have read so many tips and tricks to make them work - trimming around the sticker so there's a border of uncovered cling foam on the back of the stamp, huffing on the block to steam it up a bit - why go thru all that hassle when the cling foam is fine, it's the stickers that aren't! Then again, most SU! customers are used to having the image of the stamp on the block, and the stickers are a way to keep that image for them. I've been using SU's stamps on acrylic blocks since back in the day when SU said they'd never sell them that way (just coating the back of the grey foam with repositionable glue) and really only care about indexing on sentiments where it's hard to read what they say from the rubber side.

I can't believe a company as savvy as SU can't figure out a way to make the stamp both identify itself AND stick to a block.
GEEZ!
