www.allure.com/story/engagement-ring-diamond-dermal-piercing-fingerInstead of wearing a ring you basically have someone remove a piece of skin and insert a metal anchor to attach a diamond right to your finger. To me the single diamond looks a bit lost floating around on the finger. Plus it sounds like something that may not work out well for some people based on ow their body reacts to the metal anchor.

I saw this on Facebook and to be honest all I saw was infection. It was just kind of nasty. Well very nasty 🤢

That is just weird (and yes, they look a little infected...) I can maybe see 3 stones, or even 5, looking better...but one floating there is just odd.

Infection and accidental injury were the first things to come to my mind.
Sort of kills the passing it on to your grandchildren idea.

I saw someone discussing this on Instagram; basically they won't last because your body is highly likely to reject the piercing after a matter of months. Also the risk of it catching on something is high. And that was a professional piercing/tattoo person. I think they look terrible!

Yeah, I can just see my grandchildren fighting over (who would have to take the thing) a stone that had been cut out of my dead finger. The entire concept is revolting.

No! Don't see the advantage to getting this done--pain, possible infection and it doesn't even look good!

The first photo with the chipped nail polish and red infected looking halo around the stone just doesn't sell me on getting one of these stones.

Can you imagine making meatloaf or handling raw chicken with that embedded in your skin? ICK!!! I started wearing gloves while handling raw meat a few years ago, but still can't image having an embedded diamond on my finger. way too many opportunities to have something caught in it or it ripped off your finger.

They look as gross as most of the fingernails in those pictures do.

I was a teenager in the age of dermal piercings. Almost all of them get rejected eventually. This is so stupid.
