I need to make a few shirts and was thinking the stretch sounded like a good idea but wondered if any Peas had experience with it and liked it. TIA!

I have always used the Siser regular HTV but picked up the stretch to use for a t-shirt for DH. The t-shirt turned out great and DH wears it every week. I wash it every week (usually right-side-out) and I've even accidentally put it in the dryer on full heat. It has held up wonderfully. I went into the shop where I buy it to pick up some different colours, but I was told that the stretch HTV really isn't for t-shirts but more for "performance" type "moisture wicking" fabrics. They talked me out of it and I listened, leaving with regular HTV. BUT, a second t-shirt I made for DH at the same time using regular Siser HTV started to lift in one spot on the sleeve (because I don't have heat press pillows and didn't use anything to even the pressure I think). I was able to fix it but in my opinion, the stretch has held up better than the original and I think I'll buy it when my regular HTV runs out.

I used the stretch for a baby onesie. It's good for any fabric that has some give to it, but it is supposedly made for lycra and other stretchy exercise fabrics.
I have also used the regular Siser for adult t-shirts. It has held up fine, although the first shirts I did for my son's family, have peeled away in spots. It was due to newbie error, not the Siser. I did not have the pillows then, and I did not get the temperature and time right. More recent shirts have turned out much, much better. Same HTV, but now I'm just more experienced.

Every time I see the thread title, my brain reads Sister Sledge. And I am now singing "We are fam-i-ly, I got all my sisters with me."
Ok, back to the discussion.
