I was doing well yesterday until I decided to move up to my bed. I was then in a lot of pain. We set alarms for my pain meds and for emptying to bile bag, so we were up a lot last night. Dh had to help me to the bathroom and that made me dizzy several times.
This is morning we decided to move me downstairs. After a few attempts we got me as far as the other side of my bedroom in that recliner. My oldest son came over to sit with me while dh ran a few errands. We got a Boost into me and some water. After the Boost I was feeling pretty good so ds and I came up with a plan to use a rolling desk chair to get me to the stairs and then I would go down the stairs on my butt. He would then move the chair to the bottom of the stairs and roll me to the recliner in my dh's office. (It is my medical power recliner and is exactly underneath where my bed is on the second floor of the house.) Dh got home when I was on the stairs. All of that moving made me very nauseous. I insisted on having a trash can with me during the descent. Good thing I did because I ended up throwing up at the bottom of the stairs. Overall, it took about 45 minutes to move me from my bedroom recliner to the office one. It also scared my son seeing me like that.
I will be sleeping in the office recliner tonight with my walker that has a seat close by. We didn't have the walker for this process because it was in the back of my car and my youngest ds had driven it to work.
When oldest ds left my house, he got on the phone to my Mom and basically told her to pack a bag and come stay with me for a week. He told her I needed her. I have not seen her since Thanksgiving because she was sick several times. She will be here around lunch time tomorrow. She has her own limitations. I hope this is not too much for her.
This is procedure has been so much harder than I expected.
