It is 17" wide and 38" long. I suppose once upon a time that it was a real window before they added my dining room addition. I just feel like something should go there but I don't know what. Any suggestions?

I would add a couple of shelves in the opening to feature things like nice pottery, a vining plant etc.

Could you hang a long framed piece of stained glass there? That way you'd still get the light.

And better yet, my best friend from college's husband is a really talented tattoo artist and does stained glass on the side. I could absolutely ask him for something custom to buy that would be really cool.

Do you have a cat? That seems like the perfect place for a cat to perch.

I was going to suggest shelves as others mentioned but the stained glass was a cool idea and you have the means to get something special for you. Go for it! Smile each time you glance that way. We all need things like that:)
