Prayers to your daughter, that they get this under control. I suppose you'll both be learning ALL you can about type 1 diabetes, stat, so that you could be proactive. DH has type 2 diabetes and it's still such a tricky thing, but it's good that you at least know what's going on now and you can be informed from hereon out. Hugs & prayers to you both!

I’m glad she is doing better and is responding to treatment. My grandson was diagnosed 4 years ago at 16 and is doing remarkably well. There is a lot to take in all at once. Noah has found life is still pretty much the same for him as it was before.
I wish you guys the very best.

I'm so sorry this happened, but I'm glad that they figured it out and are getting your dd stabilized. My best friend in college had type 1. She had a computerized insulin pump and did everything she wanted to do. She didn't have to count carbs or do finger stick blood sugars for meals or give herself shots. Treatments have come a long way.
I was diagnosed with my heart stuff in college, but I still had awesome school years and even better summers. Young kids bounce back so quickly. It's harder to watch someone go through something. Your dd will be fine in no time. (((hugs)))
