Update - Thank you all so much for your kind words. She is stable. Her blood sugar has come down from 26.8 to 14.3 so heading in the right direction. She is being hydrated and given potassium and something to increase her blood pressure. She has just been diagnosed as a type 1 diabetic so still very scary but at least it has a name and treatment. Thank you again and apologies for any typos I am on my phone without my glasses
My dd has just been admitted to the icu with diabetic ketoasidosis. She was perfectly finevyesterday and went from a little nasties to icu in a matter of hours. I am terrified. Please send and prayers or good vibes. She just finished her first year of universityi on wednesday. This was supposed to be the best summer of her life.
