It's the through-the-lens month, the fun aunt of the OLW family! Here's your place for staying on track (and catching up for some of us *ahem*) with OLW, sharing your pains and gains (and photos), keeping you motivated and pledging your "This month I will"... Make yourself at home, get your camera/phone out and gossip away.

I like this month, taking photos is good. I don't think I did this last year (I'd lost all interest in my word by then), but I'm looking forward to focussing on it this year. Which is good, because focus is my word. I haven't done April's prompt at all, I got all the overwhelm that month but I'm hoping to do it in May, it feels like something that can be done side by side with the photos. Speaking of photos, here's the first one! I took it on Sunday when I took my daughter out on a trip to Brighton. It was FREEZING, but we had the best time, I got to really focus my time with her and allowed her to make most of the decisions while we were there (you want fish and chips on the beach? Sure! A ride on the carousel? Okay! A drink in this cafe? Fine by me!) I hope she remembers that day, it was a good one. https://www.instagram.com/p/BiO3zcVBQGa I have no idea what I'm going to do for my "this month I will". It's my birthday month, so maybe make sure I spend time with friends? Drink all the gin? Or maybe I shall continue last months (do a pilates workout once a week) which I did and do that agaion, or is that a cop out? Eh, I don't know.

I am actually excited about this month's prompt. I am most likely going to drag my big camera out and use it this month for a change of pace.
I worked on PL last night - got Feb completed finally, and almost got March + April done. Yes, I was way behind....I did settle on a design plan that is making it fun for me (and in the process, easier) for me to get it done.

I spent last night applying more templates to create more white space in PL this year and planning my layouts out while editing the photos. It's making catching up with the start of the year so much easier and smoother.

Reviving this thread because OLW isn't getting a lot of active love on here. Question: which format are you using for this project? I feel like switching from 6x8 to mini album or even 4X4 WRMK. I don't feel like this album is going to be full by the end of the year (and I don't mind) so I might as well adapt to something different and fun for a change.

I have been doing this project for several years (7) and have always used an 8.5x11 album. I normally scrap that size, Ali started the project in that size so it worked. I do not fill the album with 1 year, but get about 3 years in each album. It is kind of fun to see the similarites/differences from year to year so I will probably continue with that size. I vary the sizes of page protectors within the album to match the prompt...and it is kind of fun to have all the different sizes in there.
