And to OlanThis is such a travesty of justice it makes my skin crawl. I really wish mental health issues could be dealt with better in this country and I am sorry for the victim and for how he must have suffered. Mental illness has a stigma across the racial divide. If there is any other "protected" group who should be beside black people at BLM rallies and concerned about all these police shootings, it would be mental health advocates. Injustice really does trickle down |

Injustice really does trickle down I have a close family member who worked in the mental health department of a large hospital who left the country to work elsewhere because it was so difficult to be able to do anything to help people with mental illness. I understood why they left, but at the same time it makes me sad because they had been working so hard and had established a great program that just kept getting cut and cut until they couldn’t do anything to help people. |
