and spring is officially here. May have to wait till next winter!! Between the heat and hot flushes, I am NOT sitting with an afghan on my lap.

I would pack it away! Nothing feels worse than yarn on bare warm skin in the heat of spring or summer.

It is cold and gloomy here today, I would love an afghan on my lap right now! LOL!
I crochet year round. I sometimes crochet at my craft table and put the bulk of the project on the table so it is not all on my lap.

I'm thinking of getting an old style TV tray (like the bed trays featured on Downton Abbey and even the Brady Bunch a few times when Carol was sick in bed) that will elevate the work up off the lap so I can continue to crochet through the summer. Here, once it gets warm, it is hot for at least 6 to 7 months.

I don't usually work on afghans during the summer either. When it's warm out the thought of all that on my lap is enough to send me into a hot flash! But I have had to work on a few things to get them done as gifts for events in September. (Poor planning on my part.)

That's funny. Well, now it's time to crochet some washcloths.

I live in northern Minnesota so we get some cool days in the spring & summer. I always have a blanket designated as my rainy day project that I work on when we're at the lake. One summer the weather was so lousy in May & June that I got two done.

i crochet all year
i run the air in my house all summer and heat in the winter
it's between 67-70 in my house all the time
the season doesn't make a difference for me in any of my crafting ventures
summer is when i build up stock on the things that sell quickly in the fall/winter
