Up until I moved into my place 9 months ago I've never had an ice maker in my fridge. Even when I bought my "dream" fridge 10 years ago (French door) I just thought the ice maker option was unnecessary. This condo came with the same exact fridge as my old place, but with an ice maker. Now I wonder how I did without?!? It's so nice never having to worry about whether I have enough ice made. I feel a bit spoiled So what's your "little thing" today?

When I finally got an icemaker the best part was I didn't always have water dripped all over the floor and counters from filling ice cube trays and moving them from the sink to the freezer.

Like the flair pens we used in elementary and middle school back in the 70's? Oh no. These are really more like markers; they come in all kinds of colors, and they are fabulous. Especially if you’re a lefty, because they don’t smear.

My vehicle comes with a little cubby above the review mirror to store my sunglasses. If I keep them on my visor, I tend to hit them when I get in the vehicle. I have snapped plenty of sunglass holders.

Yeah, sunglasses holder and seat heaters!! I will never buy another car without seat heat. Also the little "map lights" on either side of my sunglasses holder are nice for finding dropped things in a dark car (don't need them for actual maps anymore since those are on the phone). A little kitchen thing that I love is my slide out trash & recycle bins (one behind the other). My SIL bought a new kitchen trash can that is supposed to be touch-free - you just have to wave your hand over the top and it opens, and then closes automatically. Sounds like a good idea, but man I hate that thing! I'll come over to it with both hands full and have no way to open it...I'll be waving my elbow or something and it doesn't open because my elbow or whatever is not close enough. Aaaaargggh! It has a foot pedal too but it doesn't work well, and there is no way to keep the darn thing open for any amount of time if you have more than one handful to throw away. We just leave our trash "door" open when we're cooking or doing cleanup so the trash is accessible when we're in there working. It truly IS the little things!

I spent almost 8 hours tracking down a problem at work over the past two days, and even though I found the issue and fixed it, I was feeling tired and defeated. My boss sent me a kudos by email, and it made my day. Kindness and encouragement never go out of style.

Attached heated garage, hands down. Followed closely by heated car seats, the key fob I never have to take out of my purse, and the lift gate that opens when I swipe my foot under it.

heated steering wheels - best thing ever Never knew they existed. Guess because we don't need them here. But it sounds really practical in cold areas.

Another fan of heated car seats! After driving a 1998 Buick Century since 2000, we bought a new Hyundai Tucson last August. This winter I discovered the heated seats. Awesome!!!!!!

I will never drive another car without a steering wheel heater. Jennifer We had a rental car with this feature last winter and it initially drove me nuts. I will never have another fridge without an ice-maker MichyM. My little thing today is how much I love being able to pop my trunk open as I walk across the grocery store parking lot.

How my sewing machine automatically puts the needle in the up position when the peddle stops. 😊
And adding guac is the best $2 money can buy. Just do it sometime.

Never having to take the car key out of my purse is awesome. Parking said car in garage - first time ever we ever have done that. Being able to see without glasses after cataract surgery, still feel like I am forgetting something in the morning after a year Having a husband who has finally learned how to dust and clean and does it without being told - priceless!
These are NOT little things to me. LOL

Music controls on my steering wheel and a rear view camera when I back up. Both have made me a safer driver. Heated seats for my back pain and excellent dual control air conditioning to help me counteract the heat from the seats make me a happier driver.

‘Butt coolers” in my car. It’s the Southern version of a butt warmer! 😀 They are wonderful in the summer when you have leather seats. I also love my back up camera. I wish I’d had 30 years ago. There is a long line of damaged bumpers in my past. heated steering wheels - best thing ever Never knew they existed. Guess because we don't need them here. But it sounds really practical in cold areas. I live in Houston and use mine all the time. I have arthritis and It feels so good when my arthritis flairs up.

My right side camera in my car. I literally have no blind spot on my right side now and don’t have to twist and turn to check before I change lanes.
I missed it so much when I was driving a rental
Now I just need them to do the left side too. 🙄

Last year we really needed a new dishwasher, and when I went to buy one, I ended up buying an stove with double ovens instead. The deal was too good to pass up. I don't cook very often, but when I do, for some reason I really like the little upper oven. It's cute. Plus the inside of the ovens are purple. Over the course of a couple months I replaced all of our appliances, because once there was a stainless steel stove & dishwasher, it drove me nuts that the refrigerator and built in microwave didn't match, and they both had their issues anyway. I love the door in door feature I got in the new refrigerator, so easy to grab my coffee cream in the morning. I really wish I'd had that, and an alarm when the door is left open when my kids were little!

Heated seats for my back pain and excellent dual control air conditioning to help me counteract the heat from the seats make me a happier driver. I use my seat warmers for back pain too. I use my back up camera to make sure I'm between the lines after I pull into a parking spot. I will have a really hard time ever buying a car that doesn't have a push button start in the future. I've gotten so used to never having to dig for keys. Laundry room being on the same floor as the bedrooms is another one. I'm very thankful to not have to lug laundry up and down the stairs, never mind to the laundry mat! A snuggly dog. Mine sleeps under our covers most of the night, and even though she's too big really, and it's as bad as having a kid in the bed, I love the cuddly beast.
