I am going to claim my hour decluttering in the basement yesterday, because I found... a whole box of photo albums that were packed away in 1987! I have had the kids' baby albums, and others, but had been missing four years of photos of my kids. These albums also contain several photos of dh and I in MUCH younger days... I had thought all these photos were lost!
They are those magnetic sheet albums. Don't know if I am actually do anything with them, as the photos don't look that deteriorated. I do intend to label them by time frame and store them with my other photo albums.

kiwigirl, I'm so enamored with your scrap room view. Your rearrangement looks wonderful. I think it's sweet that you and your mum email daily. My sisters family (5) and I have one long txt message going. Just whoever and whenever to share. My 2 nieces have littles (1-5yo and 2- 2yo) so lots of baby pics. It's such a fabulous way to keep up. Linda, you are really getting organized! mom, please share how you are storing your die cuts and labels??? I’m in the car driving home from a long weekend but will post photos as soon As I get home!

I would definitely rather be looking at this view, I can not wait to move home to Auckland and live in an apartment in the city. I have no idea how I ended up in the country.... I'm so a city girl! And the emailing, I still feel guilt for moving to the other side of the world. I've been here 20 years, I'm 45, you'd think I'd be over it by now eh lol!

I'm taking another point for an hours painting. I painted my new desktop organiser, and also that tube on the right hand side that holds scraps. I love the new colour! I bought cheap house paint at a cheapo shop. It almost matches my Tiffany Blue walls. Next up I have to paint the 12x12 paper rack cause it's ugly MDF and I also have an ink storage tower on the other side of the desk that is bare MDF too and that needs painting too. I don't know if I need to prep the MDF first? I may just have to do 700 layers!

kiwigirl, I like both views. DH and I always say that if we win the lottery, we’ll have a condo in the city (Chicago) and an estate in the country. Also love the paint job.

I have a feeling that all of my points this month are going to come from this challenge. I emptied DD'S room into my crafting space, and I'm still sorting through the mess and getting donations ready to go. What a project!

I have been "dumpster diving" in our hoardy basement a few hours each week. Going through old boxes, saving a few things for ourselves or the kids, choosing to donate others, but a LOT is headed for the real dumpster!

Okay ladies, I got off track so far this month. Instead of organizing, I was making Donna’s pages and then my DH, sons and I all got that flu / cold. But I ordered and received a Kallax to put together and then I need to clear the room and then organize the Kallax. Then I also need to clear off my desk. But I am going to be taking pictures so that I can scrap them! I’ve got to see the silver lining in this mess. Besides just a clean, organized room. 😊 I also have to help my son this weekend with a end of school year project. But there are still six days in this month! Yippee!

You weren't dealing with the flu when you were subbing for me on the birthday thread this week were you? Also, you didn't get off track, you were just taking baby steps. I'm a huge believer in baby steps. My kids call it Mom Syndrome (start this project, see x to put away, on way stop for a load of laundry where y is in need of being brought downstairs, head down the stairs, realize it's time to cook, etc. etc. I can't wait to see your before and after photos. When does your son get out of school?

And my one son came up with a fabulous board game for his project; but making sure that he is covering all of his bases and putting it together to get a good grade is time consuming.

My kids did games for their science book about water animals. It was a lot of fun. I agree that it can be time consuming though. Good luck.
