I need some help because I am so frustrated with cleaning my wood laminate floor. It is medium tone floor. If I use the same Lysol lavendar floor cleaner I use on my ceramic tile, it looks streaky and cloudy. If I use Murphy's oil soap it looks beautiful for exactly ten minutes. As soon as someone walks on it it shows every single footprint. I use the Murphy's on my hardwood floors and they look beautiful. Only the dining room has this floor. Any suggestions?

I have Pergo laminate that was installed 18 years ago, so probably the first generation for that product. I vac up the dust & crumbs then use a Swiffer Wet pad. It dries really fast so it doesn’t leave streaks or feel sticky. I don’t like using a disposable product, but time is an issue so I make amends in other ways to be environmentally responsible. Sometimes you do what ya gotta do!

Bona....they have a laminate cleaner. I have 3 pads and use them all each time. I want my floors clean not just pushing a dirty pad around. I mop my floors every other day.

I use one pad per room as they dry out and get dirty. I don't like using so many disposable pads, but it keeps my Pergo looking nice.

I have resorted to washing my floors on my hands and knees with warm water and small bit of Dawn. I wash with bar towel and immediately dry with a bath towel. Wax on wax off. I do vacuum first. It really doesn’t take that much longer than using Bona, which left the floor looking like it was covered with a film.

I vacuum to get up all the dog hair, grit and crumbs, then use a wet jet type mop with about a quarter cup of white vinegar mixed with water on our wood laminate floors at the lake cabin. No streaks, and after it dries the vinegar smell disappears.

The Swiffer Wetjet uses disposable dry pads that Velcro to the bottom of the "mop". It squirts the Swiffer brand cleaner onto the floor and you mop it up. My entry is pretty large, plus there is a half bath. I generally use 2 of the pads to do that area.

I have the Rubbermaid red and gray mop that is like a wet jet only reusable pads. I can try this formula out in my mop before I decide to buy another.

No streaks, and after it dries the vinegar smell disappears. I️ also make my own mixture: a little of the Trader Joe’s green cleaning spray, vinegar, water and some rubbing alcohol to make it dry quickly. You can find all kinds of different “recipes” on Pinterest. I️ used to use Bona so I️ still have their mop with the washable pads.

Mop N Glo for all floor types. No streaks. No strong smell. We put it on a washable microfiber cloth that fits over the end of a Swiffer.

We had laminate in our other house. I used the swiffer wet jet and I also used the Pledge Multi Floor cleaner, I really liked it.

That is exactly the mop I have and it works well with just white vinegar and water. If you have some essential oil that you like the smell of, you can add a couple drops of that as well. I also had an extra Norwex antibacterial mop head so I brought it to the cabin and use that with this mop too. I think it works a little better than the regular microfiber mop head that came with the mop.
