Since we are talking about TJ Maxx and Ross, do any of you shop at Nordstrom Rack?
I go there to look at purses and shoes. They carry a lot of small sizes in shoes. I can't look at the clothes though. Everything seems all thrown together and there is way too much of it. I don't like digging.

I shop at the Rack, but not when I am looking for something specific. If I have a general need for new jeans or new shoes or a new bag... sure, I'll look there. But if I need a pair of navy pants, pink heels or a green blouse... I'm not heading to the Rack. I have good luck there in all categories, but it does take some time.

When I'm in the U.S., I shop there. I've found some great deals. DH likes Tommy Bahama shirts and has found some great prices on ones he liked there.
They finally opened one here in Calgary, but I hadn't had a chance to check it out. I hope it's not like when Target opened in Canada - they had very little in the stores and prices were stupid high.

There are some crazy people at Nordstrom Rack (not the teens, but the customer who accused them). I remember when this one customer beat another for telling her to quiet her nephew. |

I like Nordstrom Rack. They always have a great selection of good brands for my size 10 feet. I always look for Eileen Fisher and NYDJ jeans, and occasionally find great deals on them. I poke around for a little bit once a week when I pretend to have an office at the Panera next door.
I usually go on Monday mornings when they open and it's super quiet. I've never seen any crazy incidents in there.

I've always wanted to go to one because I've watched the handbag ladies I follow on YouTube score some awesome deals, but we don't have one anywhere near us..I think the nearest one is like 4 hours away.

Yes, but mostly for cosmetics and jewelry. I just got an Estee Lauder liquid lip for 9.97; it retails for 28.00.
Also, they have a chocolate covered toffee at the registers that is the most perfect toffee, if you're into that. Crispy, but not stick-in-your-teeth chewy.

It's pretty hit or miss, but I actually found the dress I wore to my son's wedding there. It had a lace and beaded overlay and probably cost me as much to have it tailored as I paid for the dress. That's the only thing I ever found there that I liked, though.

The one time I went to the one closest to me, during the middle of the work day, I was pretty surprised at how busy it was. And how many people were there shopping with their kids running around.

I like the cosmetics there. At Christmas time they have great deals on gift sets. It’s definitely a store I go into with an open mind, I can tell have a specific item in mind or I’ll drive myself nuts. The last thing I got there was a brown leather Levi’s jacket for $40.

As others have mentioned their cosmetics dept often has great deals. I have found great deals in their shoe dept for excellent quality shoes. And I love their jewelry also. When I was younger and had a better body I often found great deals on clothing.

I just started shopping there recently.
Here is what I buy there:
1. Wacaol bras. These are wayyy marked down, and they are so supportive for the girls.
2. Make-up. I got the end-of-season Urban Decay eye shadow - I think it was the smoky one with the browns and blacks - for half price.
3. Jeans. At least 75 percent off.
4. A cute Alex and Ani bracelet.

I shop there occasionally and have found some good deals. It's just not a favorite stop for me though because the racks are so big and so crowded together. I just don't have the patience very often to go through the items one by one. Although I will admit that last summer I got caught in there during a huge thunderstorm, so did go through all the items while waiting on the rain to end. It paid off because I found two cashmere sweaters that were on the markdown list. Both were over $300 retail and I paid about $40 each!

I have found some great deals for clothes and shoes. I go when I have time to browse. I usually need petite or short length, so sometimes I have to order from their website to get my size. I just bought 3 spring tops from there for less than $20 each.

I guess I’m lucky. The one I visit is well organized. I’ve found everything there - coats, casual wear, jewelry make-up, and especially shoes. Very seldom have I gone and not bought multiple things.

I've realized I'm no longer interested in hunting and pecking for things and hoping I find something good and/or cheap.
I'm looking for specific things so now I shop online and either pick it up in store or have it delivered. I have found good things at Nordstrom Rack online.
It's so much easier. Then I only have to run to the store to return things and I'm done.

Like any of these discount stores, if you go in regularly you know where to look for your specific items. I buy tops and shoes. Their clearance racks are have really great deals on things I would pay even half price for. I usually only find one or two pieces, but they are good quality, great bargains and a little out of the ordinary.
