 Funny! Now I look upon my 16 year old Altima with greater affection. Someone I was talking to recently was aghast that I could survive driving around in a car without bluetooth.

That’s hilarious! I have to admit that this car is definitely a big step up from my first car (which, in its defense, was a $500 Mazda GLC that we coined ‘Great Little Car’ and that had been totaled by the former owner), and I would totally buy something like that for my kid. Those cars run forever. DH and I also owned his parent’s hand me down Toyota Tercel that we drove until the body panels were about to fall off. We sold it to a college kid looking for a reliable ride at 200k miles, and he drove it for another 150k miles before it finally went off to the crusher.

I like it! I was just telling dh last night that we will buy ds a car about as old as he is, or a bit older, for a few thousand when he gets his license. This fits the bill perfectly! Looks like it needs a CD player though.
