I posted a few months ago that my freshman son joined his hs's diving team.
The season officially ended today. He earned enough points at an event to qualify for the CCS diving finals. CCS is Central Coast Section and covers 150 high schools from Los Altos to Salinas.
33 boys qualified and he got 27th place. The other boy from his HS got 20th. I am really proud of his growth and he mastered 3 different types of double somersaults. And he still has three years left.
But he is glad it is over and can go back to diving his own way. Sideways doubles are his favorite!

That's awesome! I swam and played water polo in that division in high school. That is amazing that he qualified for CCS as a freshman without a diving background. Congratulations!

That’s terrific! Does he intend to continue diving competitively?
