Is this the best thing for picking up little pieces of die cuts or tiny embellishments? I have one, but it is empty, and wondered what your go to tool is.

I have one like that (by silhouette) but if you want something inexpensive, i've heard great things about wax pencils (the ones for nail art).

I have been using the jewel picker that I bought on amazon for sequins. Works great.

My last one ran out of the sticky stuff and I immediately bought a new one. I love mine and I think it works great for picking up all the little bits and pieces, especially if I'm trying to adhere them to a specific spot on my layout/card.

QuickStick is my favorite. I love to do nail art. I used the wax pencil forever in both paper crafting and nail art. I switched to the QuickStick after a recommendation from a top nail artist. The jewel picker and the wax stick can leave discoloration. Oh no! Good to know. Discoloration on paper? sequins? everything?

Don't laugh, but I've been making my own version of for years. I had a few styluses left over from my old embossing days (remember all those little brass plates you used on a lightbox?) so I put a tiny drop of Tombow Mono Multi on one end and let it dry. It becomes tacky enough to pick up and place paper bits and yet releases easily. I have a super fine and a larger size and just store them sticky side up in my pen cup so they're always handy. Every once in awhile I peel the Tombow booger off and refresh the sticky end. Easy, quick, and cheap!

I had a QuickStik and hated it. I couldn't get the sticky stuff to stop oozing out of the applicator. What I use is something most of you with small children probably have around. I use a clear crayon. You know, the kind you get in Easter egg decorating kits; the resist crayon. It works like a charm. If you don't have a clear crayon, another color will do. I have white ones that I grabbed when my kids were little.
