Hey Gramma, I love you.
Ben and I and some friends are going to Disneyland. Can you make us some shirts? I love you. Oh, and Ben and I need sweatshirts. And Ali isn't going this time but can you make her a shirt too? I like this one - oh and that one - and how about this one? Can you do that one? Oh - and Gramma I love you.
I'm such an easy mark ;-)

So, how does this work? Hey gramma , I'm going to Disneyland in September... (what? one can try! ) These are gorgeous! You have very lucky grandchildren. I'm heart-eyeing and drooling over all of these. The Beauty & the Beast ones are just making me sigh extra hard. Great job! You now have proper bargaining power to ask for loads of Disneyland pictures to scrap in return.

How do you do that? I want to do that when I retire! They are really pretty easy. The designs are cut from iron on vinyl with my Silhouette then ironed on with a heat press. You can use an iron if you don't have a heat press but I always fouled mine up doing them that way.

Those are AWESOME shirts, and you are a wonderful gramma! Our family of 21 is heading to Disney World in August, and my ddil, who has a Silhouette and a press, has offered to make shirts for all of us. I need to chat with her about the colours and shirt styles in the next couple of weeks.

Great job on the shirts! They turned out fabulous!
I know what you mean, but it was my adult kids, not my grandkids. I made 27 custom shirts for our Disney trip this last December.
No regrets, but it can be a lot of work. I hope they let you know how much they appreciated the shirts you made them!

They look amazing! gramma, when you say you had problems using an iron what do you mean? We are going to Disneyland in July and I've thought about making shirts but I know I'll be disappointed if I ruin them. This would be a first attempt.

They look amazing! gramma , when you say you had problems using an iron what do you mean? We are going to Disneyland in July and I've thought about making shirts but I know I'll be disappointed if I ruin them. This would be a first attempt. It takes a lot of pressure to set the vinyl. You'll need to be sure to use a Teflon sheet over your design. The problem I had mainly was being afraid that I wouldn't get the vinyl set and would use too much heat for too long. I'd end up burning the vinyl.
If I were to do it that way today I'd get an old t shirt and practice with small pieces.
