I can't remember if I saw this here, or not- I know that Blue Moon Scrapbooking in Tucson was closing, and had well-publicized sales that they e-mailed to their mail-order customers.
Did I read here that someone else bought it and that it was re-opening again?? I can't remember for sure. I do know that you used to be able to shop AT the actually Blue Moon facility, even though it wasn't a bona-fide 'store' per se.
I'm having a friend over for a 'scrappy weekend' and I was wondering if it was open again; if so, we might take a road trip to Tucson.
thanks!

never mind... I found it on their website "ONLINE shopping only." So no more in-person shopping in their warehouse, darn it! We're going to have to find some other way to get our scrappy shopping fix, I guess... Michael's is just so boring...

I am in Phoenix if you are ever interested in getting together. However, why don't you head over to Scraps of Love in Peoria and get your fix. They have lots of stuff.

I may be going to Scottsdale this year. Is it worth driving there from Scottsdale? I am looking at the pictures on Google, most seem to be from 2015.

But then again, I drive 42 miles one way to work, and think nothing of traipsing around all over on a weekend, easily putting > 150 miles on my car. Scraps of Love is a good idea; I've gone there once (drove there from north Scottsdale, as a matter of fact) and it was great-- well worth the drive, in my opinion. Now, driving there from Casa Grande? That's a bit longer... but still, probably no farther than it would have been to drive to Tucson. (of course, my friend and I are getting together for a weekend of SCRAPPING, after all, but who knows how much will actually get ACCOMPLISHED, lol!)

Thank you crimsoncat05. I will be at the JW Mariott Scottsdale Camelback Inn, and according to the map it doesn't look, too, too far. I may just go there.

ahhh-- you should love the Camelback Inn!! we've never stayed there, but we go to the restaurant (Rita's Kitchen) every February for the champagne Sunday brunch to celebrate our anniversary (of our first date, lol). The building and grounds are beautiful, with lots of photos of what it looked like back in the 1930s. I would LOVE to time-travel back to the glamorous days of dude ranches and Western movie stars. (sorry for the hijack)
Keeping in mind that Scraps of love was my first time going to a 'real' LSS after the one local to me closed, I spent about 3 1/2 hours there, and well over $100-- which I hardly ever do-- but at least 1/3 of that was the ENTIRE G45 Little Women paper collection. I thought they had a pretty good selection of stamps + dies, and a good selection of papers. They had a nice selection of 'local' papers, too- Arizona and Western themed items.
and thanks for the invite, @customscraps! With my BF doing OTR truck driving right now, I don't get to do all that much scrapping except for weekend retreats.

My daughter goes to school in Tucson; I was looking forward to many trips to Bluemoon before I got the notification that they were closing! According to the new owners, they plan to open it up for in-person shopping at some point, once they get their feet wet.
I hope it doesn't take too long!

It will be worth your drive from Marriott on Camelback. The owner of Scraps of Love is actually now opening probably in June another store but it will be in Sun City West. Just thought I would share. I was disappointed about Blue Moon that its not open to the public as I loved going to it also. Its just sad there isn't anything around anymore. No problem crimsoncat05. I understand.
