okay, how do you guys take those selfies from above? I just tried on myself and I can't figure out how to do it! I have an iphone. i'm a dork, lol. 1. I perch on the edge of my desk chair or on the edge of a low counter in my classroom and stick my feet out in front of me so you can see my shoes. 2. Use the 3-second timer (front facing camera) so you can get the shot just so before it takes the picture. 3. Look up! I don't want to buy a selfie stick. LOL If you want to get a full body shot not from above, stand the camera up in a glass or container at the edge of a table or shelf, use the 10-second timer, and back up. You'll see the countdown on the screen so you know when to be ready.  |

Can I share a (to me) amazing belt find? I read about this belt somewhere, and it's awesome. IDK about you guys but I have trouble with my jeans slipping down off my hips and I was hating having to do that pull up hitch thing all the time. This belt works! Its very slim, the thickness of the buckle is the same really as your pants so you don't have this big, bulky belt poking out through your clothes. You can't even tell I'm wearing a belt under my top. It's stretchy and one size fits all. I have the black and it doesn't really matter because I never wear it with tops short enough to show. It does the trick though, keeps my pants up! Beltaway Flat Buckle Belt Thanks for the link Yvonne, I'll be making my purchase today. I have to wear a belt with every pair of pants I own. My waist is about a size 8 in pants but my rear and legs are a 10-12. Just the way God made me. I was like that even when I was a teen. Size 4 waist, size 6-8 legs/rear. I have never found a pair of pull on pants of any kind that I can wear since I have to wear a belt. Even in workout pants I have to have draw string. It's a real 1st world struggle for me. Hopefully this belt will be my answer to no belt bump. THANK YOU! |

I love my Belt Away belt too! I’ll often wear it even if I do t need it to keep my pants up, but just to keep the button area on my fly flat.

They are light and almost gauzy and float as I walk around the office. They make me happy! Target of all places, this top, too I found at Target on clearance for $13! The large ring and metallic bracelet are vintage from my beautiful grandmother.    |

Awe thanks you guys! Here is a better pic of the pants how they open up. They are lined with a little pair of shorts inside. They have them in black, too. I’m going to go back and get them. I think they’d be great for summer with a vee neck tee shirt and flip flops at the beach, too.  |

Tonight I’ll be going to a friend’s dd’s drama dept performance of Annie, so I’ll be swapping the bottoms out with white crops. Didn’t want to wear them to work and get them dirty. @merge your Kimono is cute! Attachments:

oh yvonne your outfit is adorable! You look stunning in it. I know in my trunk that is coming I have a pair of that style of pants coming, but they are plain blue, like a denim shirt I think. (That’s what the photo looks like anyway lol) We will see! When I lived in San Diego and worked with a office full of women I’d have not blinked to wear outfits like that. In fact back when they were popular in the 99’s I had lots of them. Now I just don’t have a place to wear them really. Your ring is beautiful! Is it silver and turquoise? My Grandad was a big jewelry wearer. If he wore blue, he wore his silver and turquoise rings and he if wore brown he wore his gold rings. He let me pick out what to wear if I spent the night. Awww love those memories! I have a couple bracelets that are silver and turquoise but they are in the safety deposit box. You’re making me think I need to go get them.

I am in love with these pants! I can't believe they are so comfy, I missed the trend back in the 90s..I think I was convinced they'd look awful on me and never even tried. If you all see them at Target, try them, you might be surprised. I plan on wearing them all summer, grocery shopping with flip flops, etc. Shopping, etc. I'm on a self imposed "no leggings anywhere but the gym" restriction. And jeans get hot, and no way I'm walking around in shorts with my 55 y/o legs. <edited for my typo..geeze I wish I was only still 45!> Thanks about the ring. My grandma didn't have much, and all her rings were costume, including this one I think. I was her eldest granddaughter and we were close. She gave me all 4 of her rings when I was a teen and never wore them until recently. Now I love wearing her things. She was a glamorous girl back in her day and I feel her with me when I wear a ring. I am sorry I waited so long to wear her rings, so yes! Get those precious bracelets out of the deposit box and WEAR THEM! I love that memory you have of your grandpa, so special. |
