So last night I sat down to make a couple of cards and I decided to use my Copics for colouring. To tell you the truth I really wanted to use my Prismacolor pencils but they are still too new to me and I felt too intimidated to pull them out. As I was working on colouring a pretty basic stamp, I came to realize that I have no idea what I’m doing and I desperately need some good YouTube videos or even a paid class to learn how to colour to get better results. I have a pretty large collection of Copics and the full set of Prismacolor pencils but now I need to invest in taking some time to really understand the whole shading thing so I get results I’m happier with. I took a class at online card classes which helped and I’m going to do it again, but can anyone recommend a class or some good YouTube videos that will help?

When I first got my Copics I just started watching random YT videos, searching for Copic Coloring Tutorials. And the blogs I read have a search function, so I searched for Copics and watched and re-watched their videos. I did sign up for Sandy Allnocks class, which was good. It has a lot of information on the the color wheel, blending, shading.
I'm not very good with three color blending, but I can do two pretty well. I stamped a bunch of images, whole pages of dogs, dinos, flowers, farm animals, then when I get a chance I'm ready to practice.

I will second Kelly Latevola. She is an amazing colorist, and often explains what she's doing and why. It's so helpful.

I took a class at my local LSS (since closed) a while back but now just watch for tips on YouTube. I think Kristina Werner is also quite good with colouring and may be worth a look.
