We are going to Disney again and I was thinking of using the plain 4x6 project life cards for characters to sign. We did the traditional autograph book last time and while nice, it is harder to do anything with it as they sometimes signed front and back.
I could make a book with the 4x6 card and a 4x6 photo with that character.
Do you think the characters would mind signing a separate card? Would I need a mini clipboard or something for them to use to make it stiffer? Or is this a bad idea?
Anyone do something similar? Or how did you scrapbook character signatures with the photos?

I've heard people doing this with a mini clipboard. They need something to write on.
I decorated the cover of a sprial bound book of index cards. I couldn't find completely blank ones so I just flipped it over so the characters would be signing the back of the cards which are white.
Bonus a fat clickable sharpie fits in the spirals (no cap to lose). And if the line is long the kids can draw or write in the book. They have even given the characters their drawing which both love and makes for an awesome interaction!! We got extra time when this happened.

The autograph books I made for my kids were 4x6 and they were able to sign them easily. I also brought a big bag of Sharpies so each character had their own color. I had the characters sign my 3 separate autograph books AND a Funko statue, so I'm sure they're used to the people who have more than one item to be signed. They're quick about it and make conversation as they do it. If you can, totally worth it to see Gaston, he was one of our very favorite to meet. Oh, and I should specify we were at Disney World, so I can't speak to how they are at Disneyland.

We got a few characters to sign the back of postcards (to send to friends who wanted but couldn't come with us) at Disneyland Paris last year. I did clip each card to a mini clipboard before going up to the character.

I did this. I even used 3x4 cards. I had the cards on a small clipboard and a retractable sharpie. Only a few characters had problems on the small card. 4x6 would be much easier.

I used this free printable from Britt-ish Designs to make an autograph book for my friend's kids. I printed the 4x6 cards on cardstock and slipped them in one of those $1 plastic albums from Target. I cut a piece of thick chipboard to size and put it in the covers so there was some stability for writing. And a little binder clip to hold the card in place as it is signed. Then slip it into a pocket and add a 4x6 of the character on the other side when you get home.

Yes, small clipboard definitely helps! I’ve used the Project Mouse cards by Britt-ish Designs.
