I'm trying to plan an upgrade to my craft workspace, and especially want to figure out a solution to storing my finished cards, which are the inventory for my etsy shop. I have them in cellophane sleeves, in 3 stacking plastic boxes (each 11x15x7" approx). I have them on their side so they're only about 4.75" tall. I have a couple of hundred cards most of the time - all 3 boxes are about full.
I'm thinking a drawer solution would work better, so I can keep them enclosed. Do you store your cards in drawers or in organizers on shelves?
Are the Alex drawer insides tall enough to store them lying on their side or upright? It seems like the wide low unit only has very shallow drawers, but do the bottom drawers in the 5 drawer Alex units work? I found an old post that suggested they are only about 5" tall inside, which would be about right I think.
Any other ideas or advice for storing finished cards? Most of the google searches I do just show people storing their personal stash in recipe organizers. Not much help.

I store my finished, packaged cards just like I store my stamp sets - in Fridge Binz with dividers (birthday, thanks, etc.)

I dont think the bottom Alex drawers would work, they are not very deep and also you cant access the back easily as they dont slide out all the way. I would also consider standing them upright as the pp suggested, in bins with dividers.

I store mine in boxes with dividers for type. They’re on their sides as otherwise they’d be too tall. I don’t have enough shelf room for boxes and also wouldn’t want them to get dusty, or have to put them in plastic bags.

Years ago, I used to work part time for a lady who had a small stamp store. I was able to take home the empty boxes from the A-2 sized envelopes she had. So my method might not help you. But this is how I store my cards. They are on a shelf in a room across the hall from my craft room. Easy access. These boxes have covers, I just don't have it on for the photo. The card is in a plastic bag with an envelope.

warrior1991 I actually do have a couple of those envelope boxes and used to use them for card storage. At some point I ran out of space or decided they weren't the best option, so I changed to using these plastic boxes that don't work so well. I don't think I'd thought to store the cards on their side so the lid would still fit on, even though that's what I do with my plastic boxes now. Maybe the envelope boxes were the best solution all along, right under my nose. lol. I'll take another look.
