Ok...I figured out an extra couple steps to the personal font directions that makes it a bit easier.
To have your font permanently changed 1) hit the reply button and pick how you want it to look. 2) Then copy the BBCode, deleting your text 3) Go to your profile 4) Edit profile 5) Go to settings.
From there, under posting default, select BBCode and it will give you a box to enter your code into. Paste your code.
Put your curser between the brackets and hit "return" a couple times to put some space in there. (See photo)
When you reply to posts you will be in the BBCode area and you'll see the code. Start typing in the blank space and switch over to the Preview area where you can finish your post without looking at all the code.
Hopefully this helps.

This thread is great! It's pretty late here now, so I will have to investigate this more tomorrow. Thanks for all the helpful hints!

Is there a way to hide threads we don't want to see?

forgive me, testing here, I'm having an issue with the color I pick being the one that shows up.eta: It comes up orange even though I have had hot pink successfully up until now. I check the color, and it shows up in the preview correctly, but when I create thread it changes on it's own. eta2: Now that I have edited outside the brackets, the part inside the brackets has changed to black. What am I doing wrong? When I check the color code where you actually choose the color, it reads correct. Can someone check in theirs for color e61973 and see if it shows up hot pink for you? Like I said, it previews correctly, but posts wrong.

I can't get a picture to post. I'm in Reply, not Quick Reply.
The photo is stored on Flickr and I got the direct link from there. It used to work fine when I did it that way at 2peas.
I click on the Insert Image box, add my link, save ... nothing happens. I'm just getting a small empty box. I also tried inserting the BBCode but that didn't work either. I tried copying and pasting the image itself directly into the post. Nothing.
wahh??

I click on the Direct link (to copy) and on this site click on Insert Image then paste it into the Image URL box . Then click the photo and adjust the size. It works from quick reply or reply.

Thanks. That's exactly what I was doing. Still can't figure out why it didn't work. I'm pretty sure I posted something before that worked. OH WELL. I linked the image instead. That worked. ETA 10/25/14 I did finally get it figured out. duhhh ...
