I’m wondering how much it cost to reseed your lawn per square foot. What part of the country do you live in and how much did you pay per square foot? Thanks

Around here, people resod instead of attempting to reseed. When we last did our front yard with Zoysia, it cost about $5,000.

We have been reseeding our yard this year. We have a fully sodded yard that was full of weeds. We started last year with a lawn company last year who came out in September, October and November and fed the yard with fertilizer and feed. In our area of Texas grass goes dormant in November. When our lawn guy returned in February and did his treatment my husband followed with more Bermuda seed. We treated again with the weed and feed formula in March, April and May along with watering. Our yard looks fabulous right now. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/MNrJDkDuSwqIMVw33MdD.jpg) Seeing is not a quick fix overnight process. If your yard is filled with weeds (like ours was) it needs some time.

We did this last year or more to the point my dh had it done last year. They scraped off the top layer of grass so we were down to dirt. Blasted seed and straw and we waited. It cost $800 We have a third of an acre in Maryland. He remains obsessed with the grass. I'm not allowed to cut it. Ok. Works for me. Oh and the dog shouldn't pee on the new lawn bc he found dead spots. Ok. Sure. I'll get the dog diapers. NOT!!

We had mostly weeds when we lived in the country. Hubby mowed the yard very often to keep the weeds down and I would throw out bermuda seed every time I thought it would rain or when I had time to leave the sprinkler on to water it in. Eventually, we had patches of pretty good lawn. Of course, the drought dried it all up and made all my work for naught.

We did patches of reseeding because dog urine burned the grass. There was also some substantial digging happening at times in the past. It grew back but we did it ourselves. We have green lawns all winter long and they brown out a bit in summer.

Around here everyone does sodding not seeding hut I have no idea why. I have had to resod my back yard once because my ex did a DIY job originally that looked lumpy and wasn’t close to level.
