I think once this one is done, I'll take a break and scrap something NOT Lego before tackling the 3 other Legoland trips (2 to Florida, 1 to Malayasia)

Running out of glue is one of my biggest scrapbook fears! I use a system that not everyone stocks, so even if I get into town I am not sure I will be able to bring home the cartridges. Feeling secure now: justjac switched to a different system and gave me her leftover cartridges. I ordered some on line, and the LSS ordered some in for me. Hope the glue you ordered arrives soon, dald222

I've been gone for 10 days at my parent's home with my family. I am exhausted!
I plan to do laundry and scrapbook today. I need the time in my happy place.

In the zombie apocalypse, I'll be able to adhere those suckers to the wall.

Does anyone here like SU? I'm not a huge fan of their pricing on things, but I love their inks...it is some of my favorite. I signed up for their free ink promotion as I was hoping for it to return. I signed up another time for the same freebie and the person I usually sign up under said she didn't expect it to return. I was so happy to see that it did come back. The fact they changed their starter kit to be anything you want has made it really appealing for people like me that just want a discount (I know this isn't new, but being able to order ALL ink instead of having to get a mix of things is great since that's all I really enjoy from them now).
I may have 27 of the new ink pads coming my way and I can't wait. The fact that they stack easier (even if it's not perfectly locked in place) means I can keep them at my desk instead of in an organizer clear across my room...no more disrupted work flow looking for ink. I hope I like them when I get them! The footprint looks a lot nicer overall.

scrapaddict702 - I'm not much of a stamper but that sounds like a good deal for you. Enjoy them! I've made 6 cards between yesterday and today. DD11 leaves for summer camp on Sunday and they encourage us to leave a letter for each day when we drop her off and it'll be delivered to her daily during mail call. I always make cards for her - and when we emptied and re-organised her room this summer, I realised she had kept all the cards from previous years Now I'm back to Legoland Japan layouts...this is the album that never ends, lol

Red is about the only color that I find always stains. The rest of the time, unless the ink pad has been reinked, I haven't much of an issue with staining. It's the strangest thing, lol.

This is random, so felt it deserved to go here!
I wanted to recreate the Gina K wreath builder stencils the other day because $13 for 2 stencils that are essentially just 2 squares offset from each other was simply not going to happen. After trying a few different options, I thought that maybe my specialty acetate would get the job done for me because it's thicker than the duralar I had on hand. When I went to go look at what options I'd be willing to sacrifice, I stumbled upon a few Bella Blvd invisibles (it's a thicker plastic material that I have no clue what I'd ever use it for) that I had gotten in a grab box several years ago. It cut through the Cameo nicely (speed 1, 6 or 7 for the blade...ran through 4 times and cleaned up a few spots that didn't want to cut the very last layer on the bottom with a craft knife) and for just my time investigating and less than 5 minutes making a template in Silhouette Studio, I have my very own wreath builder stencil!
If you have any of these on hand and have struggled in finding a good stencil material that isn't more expensive per sheet than buying a pre-made stencil, this could work for you. I used a flower shape, but they have a fancy frame option as well. This stuff won't work for 12x12 stencils, but for smaller ones, it's perfect.

I think that I saw the Build A Wreath stencils at one LSS not long ago, but I didn't really think much of them till I looked them up after seeing your post. Now I want them. I have lots of stamps I could use with them. However, that LSS is at least an hour drive away, and I only get there about once a year. Or I might have seen them at GASC. Either way, now I would either have to buy it online or make my own. For those who don't have stencil or plastic to cut, even heavy cardstock could work as a temporary template. When it gets worn, you can just cut another. Thank you for posting about this!

I think I'm running out of steam for scrapping this month...Legoland Japan is done, I have 3 more Osaka Castle layouts to go, and DH just picked up 50 photos (!!!) for me of the Nagoya Railway Museum which'll complete the Mainland Japan album. Hoping to get the Castle layouts done tonight. The big project with the railway museum is matching the photos of signs (which I didn't print) to the trains they describe so I can make some sense of the photos. Sadly downloading photos from FB does NOT keep them in order so I'll have to dig up DS's FB album and match photos...it'll be a bit of a project, I think. And I don't, personally, have much interest in trains, lol, beyond loving to RIDE them.
This album has been a HUGE project and while I've (mostly) enjoyed doing it, I'm more than ready to move on to something else.

scrapaddict702 I'm considering signing up for the ink bundle as well. I really like the new colors and their cardstock! Not a huge fan of the SU stamps because I can get better ones for cheaper from other companies.

One suggestion if you store them sideways or want to see the color in as many places as possible: I cut the 'waste' between the labels and put them on the sides. There are indents on the side and the skinny strips are perfect for it. A lot of people suggest sticking the other languages in other places, but I can't stand the thought of using something in a language that I can't read.
It will take time getting used to the new open/close process because I ended up covered in ink just testing them all out, lol.

That would definitely be something I would procrastinate and procrastinate about for a long time! If you're not into trains like that, they all sort of look the same don't they!

The rest of us (Dh, me, and the girls) went to a train museum in PA last summer...I haven't scrapped those pictures either yet...I took a handful, DH took at least one picture of every train...
Today I'm going to try really hard to sort and label the pictures....

Feeling pretty good about myself. I have printed up all of the photos I'll need to scrap at the upcoming We Create crop by Scrapbook Generations. I now just have to begin pulling paper and making my kits to take. They are all WDW photos, so at least I don't have a wide genre of things to kit up and take.

I received my July/August kits from Scrapbooking Fanatics today. Have gone quickly through them: lots of summery papers from Authentique and Carla Bella and a mermaid stencil and charm that will be PERFECT for a bd card for my dgd who is on a swim team. I see some palm trees and flamingos, too, so I foresee this stuff getting a workout once we return from Orlando after mid month.

no internet when I woke up this morning and it wasn't back until 830 this evening (AT&T apparently had a 'widepread outage' in my area.
So I spend the day transcribing stuff my mum wrote - a 6-page (on legal paper) letter detailing a plane ride she took with me as an infant- and a trip journal from her trip to the UK in 2011 (ended up 29 pages in Word). I'll use the journal when I scrap the photos from her trip and I'll eventually turn the letter into scrapbook pages as well. She has atrocious handwriting so it was hours of work.

Okay, lots of random.
One of my WRMK albums are peeling on the inside spine crease. It's not an old album, I don't think. I don't understand why, and it's really bothering me.
Good randomness:
I scrapped many layouts today! Mojo finally came back, and I took advantage of it.
I used up the last of two paper pads today!
Opened up two sticker packs, and a rub on pack.
I also used a rub on pack that just had a title.
Felt good to use up stuff!!
In the course of making pages, I used a chatterbox paper and a bo bunny paper all up. Awesome to use old stash.
I also started scrapping a four day staycation from this past April, where I took my kids to nearby tourist attractions, and we acted like tourists. Took all the cliche photos. Even went to things that I hadn't before. We went home each night to sleep, but back out each morning.
More random:
Apparently I didn't scrapbook last Christmas.
And apparently I have nearly zero Christmas papers or supplies. Just a few random stickers, and paper scraps.
So, I'll wait for Christmas supplies to come out this year, and scrap it then.
