Happy hottest month in TX (Even though July was SUPER hot!  ) Welcome to monthly Sketch/Scraplift challenge! Each month, I will post both a sketch, and a LO for you to lift, or draw inspiration. I am repeating July's challenges, because not many had the chance to play, and *I* want to do these!  I'll be including something for both 1 page scrappers, as well as 2 page scrappers, and some of the LO's can be modified to fit either one. I like seeing the creativity of changing them up! I think it will be fun to see what you pick, or if you decide to do both!   As you know, in scraplifting/using sketches, your LO's can end up looking exactly like the inspiration piece, or you can let your creativity run wild!  These are just jumping off points to get you rolling. Have fun, and link your LO's back to this thread so that we can all see your piece of art and give you some lovin'! grammadee *This is a JULY repeat. |

Awesome choices, KikiPea! I love how the two pager is kind of a grid, so linear, and the single page has so many curves and circles and splotches. And thanks for posting these challenges every month! |

grammadee, I have decided to repeat July. I LOVE these two LO's, want to see more scrappers have the chance to use them, and still want to do them myself!

Thank you for setting the challenge KikiPea! I had these on my phone ready to do and just never got around to it. So I'm glad they're back and I definitely want to do at least one this month! grammadee, fab LO, loving that plaid and the beards card, so awesome! |

Thanks KikiPea. I love that two page sketch and this means I can do it again in August and get points for it! And if I get something in my sights that I can snap a photo of for the one pager I would like to do that too. |

I was finally able to get to the scrap lift! I tried to print the pic at full 12” long, but didn’t want to waste a 13x19 photo sheet, so I made up for it with a longer mat  |

I agree with grammadee - love your 2 page layout, you know it could almost work for Christmas with that plaid colouring - it's a good sketch so I've added both to my photobook templates for future use.

FINALLY got around to doing the 2 pager! I knew that it would work pretty well for this group of photos. The colors are a bit off due to the overcast skies, but the background color is a limy green. The phrase is also hard to read. It says: The best things in life are the people we love, the places we’ve been & the memories we’ve made along the way.  |

LOVE the simplicity of this. It really highlights the photos. Beautiful flower/colorful accent. I'm glad you could make that left vertical piece work. I just couldn't get it to look right with the pieces I had. |
