And then we got this guy. trump.., “Many good conversations with North Korea-it is going well! In the meantime, no Rocket Launches or Nuclear Testing in 8 months. All of Asia is thrilled. Only the Opposition Party, which includes the Fake News, is complaining. If not for me, we would now be at War with North Korea!” It was because of him that we were almost at war with North Korea. I can’t find the tweet now but I saw one in response to this that was basically „You don’t give someone cookies for cleaning up the mess they made“.

I can't help but laugh at a liberal talking about someone else's rage. It's all we've seen from liberals since Nov. 2016; well that and ridiculous hats that are supposed to empower women.

And then there is this.
MSNBC...
“NEW: Rep. Jim Jordan, the powerful Republican congressman from Ohio, is being accused by former wrestlers he coached more than 2 decades ago at Ohio State Univ. of failing to stop the team doctor from molesting them and other students.”
These stories keep coming out. All this time parents felt they could trust priests, teachers, coaches, & doctors with their kids. And we keep finding out that wasn’t so.

I am having a hard time wrapping my head around the way it is being worded “access to literacy”. I am not sure how exactly you give access to a learned skill 🤔. Access to the education to gain the skill I get. But I would have a hard time arguing that by signing my son up for after school Spanish that I am giving him access to fluency for example. I don’t disagree with the fundamental points being made, but it just doesn’t sound like the correct way to state what I think they are trying to say IMO. I think you have to look at the definition of “literacy”. “lit·er·a·cy ˈlidərəsē,ˈlitrəsē/Submit noun the ability to read and write.” So do you contend that you can give access to the outcome (the ability)? I think we are on the same page about access to education (and that the education would include instruction in how to read and write). I don’t agree with the written opinion from the article, but I think it was a poorly worded explanation (of a crappy decision) by the judge.

The White House has already back tracked on it this morning... so either someone took it upon themselves to deny it inappropriately or SHS is lying about Trump making the order as soon as he heard about the request. Par for the course.

Beautiful day for these folks! I agree! It's beautiful when people appreciate and love this country so much they're willing to follow the rules and take the legal steps to become a U.S. citizen! They then have earned the right to vote.

Kyle Griffin...,
“GM Chairman and CEO Mary Barra is warning that Trump's tariffs could force the company to scale back production and cut U.S. jobs.”
And yet another example of #MAGA!
Edited to add this.
“The economy is doing perhaps better than ever before, and that’s prior to fixing some of the worst and most unfair Trade Deals ever made by any country. In any event, they are coming along very well. Most countries agree that they must be changed, but nobody ever asked!”
Really?

They then have earned the right to vote. And yet, I guarantee that some if not most of these folks are from "shithole" countries from which your leader would like to end legal immigration. I also guarantee that most would take the legal route, except that a reasonable legal route for the poor (immigration reform) has been prevented from being enacted into law by Republican congresses during the previous two administrations. I know you see no problem with saying too bad, so sad (or womp womp, perhaps) to people trying to make a better life for their families who come smack against our unreasonable immigration policies - people without whom, BTW, our economy would suffer greatly - but I personally don't have it in me to do that.

See! This is exactly why he needs 24/7 security 🙄 A stranger in a restaurant last night interrogated me about my car and whether I liked it. I also had an unwanted interaction with a woman in a furniture store about my FitBit. Perhaps I should also get 24/7 security!

I think those of us who live in border states see the contribution that hard-working (but undocumented because there is literally no reasonable way for them to get documents) immigrants make to our economy in ways that others don't. Texas would not be able to function without them. Republicans don't care, at least not enough to get on board with making changes to the law.
