from the article: "The action by DOJ comes after Attorney General Jeff Sessions told the Justice Department to re-evaluate policies that went beyond what he believed the law, the Constitution and the Supreme Court required, according to the report." --so now Sessions knows better than the law, the Supreme Court and the Constitution, huh?!? I cannot stand that little weaselly man and his simpering smirk.

Your quote says that the he believed the current policies went beyond what was required by the law. Not that he knew better than the law.

I don't get how you figure that, Darcy the quote is:
"...policies that went beyond what he (Sessions) believed the law, the Constitution and the Supreme Court required."
how is there any other way to read that? what you said still means that Sessions believes he knows better than the law.

Actually it doesn't. He saying he wants to follow the law, but the previous policies went BEYOND the law. For the record, I have no opinion on whether they did or didn't as I haven't looked at the actual policy changes proposed. Your quote just didn't say what you said it did. The law says my company must grant me 12 weeks of unpaid family leave, my company's policy is to grant 3 months of paid maternity leave. Changing the company's policy to conform with the law doesn't mean you believe you know better than the law, the Constitution and the Supreme Court.

What good do SC justices do if the nation is destroyed, if due process is lost, if we have no allies, etc.
Just sayin
AND watch how far you pull the pendulum to one side because eventually it will swing back the other way- sometimes drastically.

I read this and actually went to his account to make sure. So unless his account has hacked this came from trump...
“After having written many best selling books, and somewhat priding myself on my ability to write, it should be noted that the Fake News constantly likes to pour over my tweets looking for a mistake. I capitalize certain words only for emphasis, not b/c they should be capitalized!”
“Written many best selling books”. trump? “Prides himself on his writing abilities”. trump?

I think that goes along with the concept that if trump is proven to have colluded with Russia to sway the election, then the Presidential vote should be declared invalid, therefore Pence doesn't get to step into the position.

trump...
“Just out that the Obama Administration granted citizenship, during the terrible Iran Deal negotiation, to 2,500 Iranians - including to government officials. How big (and bad) is that?”
ABC News.,,
“Pres. Trump tweets Iranian hardliner's unsubstantiated claim about former Pres. Obama. There's there's no evidence it is true.”
“The headline from Fox News, Sean Hannity, and others has been circulating for a couple of days now. But it is based on the unsubstantiated comments of one conservative Iranian cleric, trying to bash the more moderate President Hassan Rouhani and his administration.
Iranian cleric Mojtaba Zolnour was attacking Rouhani and his government's senior officials as sell-outs, saying in an interview in June, "When Obama, during the negotiations about the JCPOA, decided to do a favor to these men, he granted citizenship to 2,500 Iranians and some officials started a competition over whose children could be part of these 2,500 Iranians," according to Iran's Fars News agency.
Zolnour is a hardline member of Iranian parliament, who is helping lead an investigation on whether dual citizens have "infiltrated" Iran's government, according to Radio Farda, the U.S.-funded Iranian language news service. Iran has arrested a handful of dual U.S.-Iranian citizens that the Trump administration is trying to free.
Zolnour is also a "troglodyte," a "low-rent dolt," and an "unhinged hardliner with an extreme agenda," tweeted Borzou Daragahi, a journalist and senior fellow at the Atlantic Council.
Despite who made the claim – and that the State Department and the Department of Homeland Security have not confirmed it – several news outlets reported the story anyway, which Trump then tweeted.”
trump is like some on this board where they repeat what the hard right puts out there without checking. This time they are repeating some Zirsnisn who is mixing it up with another Iranian for political gain,

What do sales in 2017 have to do with the recently announced move? Am I missing something? Eta: And I don't think it is. But not even sure if there is an ethics division in this administration.
