Women Might Save America Yet

There, I fixed that for you. Not all of us were riding the trump train. I was horrified when he won. Or maybe I should say “won” in air quotes because whether it was legit or not still remains to be seen.

This story is heartening. And, I will say that I have seen more people be politically VOCAL. Now being vocal and taking action are two different things.

Some things that are helpful are to donate money and/or time to local progressive candidates, call existing Republican congresspeople/senators (only your own, please, other calls aren't tallied) and express your opinions, support other progressive organizations like Planned Parenthood.

I've done some donating and plan to help with voter registration when we go back to school.

43% of women, by your "study" like Trump so your comment "women don't like Trump" is wrong. Crazy, purple vagina hat wearing women don't like Trump. And that's fine. Real American women are embarrassed for those so-called "women".

RIGHT.

But the people wearing their costumes and hats don't seem to know that, sweetie. I saw pink, purple, lime green and orange vaginas at the women's marches. Maybe you should let them know that vaginas are pink.

Hey, it's your people that are out there doing these things.  This is what "they" consider important in the women's marches.

A sea of pink cat-eared pussyhats at the marches and someone could only see purple, orange and lime vagina hats? That's a special talent.     

I do believe woman will save America.

Proud member of "they". I am keeping it up and by the way, I usually wear black to marches because a small part of this boring suburban mother wants to arrested on suspicion of anarchy.

I once had a roommate who had a cat. That stupid cat was always pulling its shit out of its litterbox and leaving it in places where it didn't belong. No one liked that cat and it left an unmistakable stench wherever it went.

I'm sure there's a moral in there somewhere.

What's pretty amazing to me is that I've been to 2 women's marches in 2 years and have yet to see an actual anatomically depicted vagina hat or clothing except in photos. Am I hanging out with the wrong tens of thousands of women, men and concerned citizens?

I can tell you that MANY white women church friends I know voted Trump because there was no way they'd vote for Hillary and that all important Supreme Court seat. For some it was also merely about their bottom line. They felt he would somehow make their pay higher and improve their quality of life.

As for me, the entire time he was 'running' I thought this had to be some punked reality show. And his horrid behavior prior to running and during the campaign process cemented me as a Never Trumper. After seeing how so many elected Republicans continue to back him and fall in lockstep as he daily tramples upon the Constitution, I not only did not vote for him, I changed parties. This isn't the progressive Republican party that was instrumental in so many great things for our country. It's a party that's been hijacked by far right interests and big money. Never again will I vote for one.

So yeah, the opinion piece is a bit of hope I'll hold onto.

I actually feel a little bad for real conservatives who may have positions that are more centrist (and not racist or sexist). Their party is JACKED.
