Many, many (( hugs )) to you, I can't imagine how hard this is! The other good news is my brother found a caregiver!!! She is coming over to meet me and my dad on Thursday or Friday. She lives in my neighborhood and sounds like a godsend. Thank you everyone for your kindness! So happy to read this, and hoping this caregiver is a huge help for you and your Dad! Did your handyman install the new toilet yet? I'm sending up prayers that things will improve!!! Yes! We now have a new toilet that will flush golf balls! We met with Angie yesterday and she starts on Tuesday. She will work 20-25 hours per week. I am so relieved!

OH My gosh!!! BIG HUGS!!! We went through this with MIL, when she lived with us and when she didn't but would stay on weekends. It finally got to be too much and even SIL did the same and found a caregiver. After quite a fight even then. They both refused to put her in a medical care place after even looking at good ones. MIL had numerous other health issues including epilepsy so sometimes she couldn't control that part. But there were a few times she got very sick including being septic, which nearly killed her. In the end it was a massive stroke. But we had your battle more frequently that last year. She would be ok with the depends and then either forget or just stubborn. It was really hard on Dh as he felt like he didn't care of her. I had to assure him that sometimes you there are things that you can't fix. She needed the extra care and the extra set of hands if you KNWIM? without TMI. But I soo feel for you so I am thrilllled you got an aide. My cousins dad also is in bad shape and they have a therapist and medical nurse. They're supposed to help him with that. But he's a Big guy, not fat but big shoulder and big man. But a gentle giant but he's stubborn and 92. He doesn't walk and severe diabetes. He has not lost his foot yet but it's been in a boot as long as I've known him.(about 22yrs). any I'm just rambling but I so glad for you to have relief!! HUGS!
