The Project Life app is in the app store! It's $2.99 and I played with it a little this morning. It's a very nice app with some great PL cards. It's easy to drop photos and journal right in the app. Well worth the $ IMHO.

It's not in the Android store. Ugh - I hate that. So many more Android devices on the market and it goes to iOS first.

tracylynn I hope they get it live soon! I heard it was because developing andriod apps is so much more time intensive (various versions of phones). Since iphones are "standard", it is easier development.

I bought it last night and played around a bit.
Very easy/user friendly.
You do have to pay for additional paper packs.
I wonder how good the resolution will be for printing large layouts.
I like that when you stop working on a layout you can go back to it later.
I didn't see any embellishments besides the PL cards. I was thinking I could import the finished layout into Rhonna Designs App and add some words & embellishments there.

I'm interested in this, but don't know what you would do with the finished layout. Would you somehow print the bits and pieces and then put it together?

I believe that you'll be able to send the whole layout to a photo developer and have it printed 12x12.
I'm not sure if I read it or dreamed it, but I think Persnickty Prints will print them.

I bought this app and I am interested in hearing from anyone who has printed a layout. Info such as print quality etc.

It's a fun app! I'm a digital scrapper anyway, and was never very interested in PL before, but this could change things. I made a quick layout in the app on my iPad (ignore the silly title, it's late here ), saved it to my camera roll, then opened it in my Adobe PS Touch app. There I added a couple of leather frames for some dimension (Gennifer Bursett at Pixels&Co.), and saved it again. I don't print out my pages anymore, so I can't tell you how good the print quality is. I'm linking an example of it from Photobucket, so the picture quality won't be as good as the original, which otherwise looks really high quality on my screen. I think I'll get a lot of use out of this app .

Thanks for posting... I like embellishing things, but find the card/photo part time consuming... Being able to it a few minutes here and there, print them out, then embellish them... I might not always being playing catchup...lol

Just played with it... You can save or export your finished project as an 8x8 or a 12x12!!
Love that for mini books, December Daily, printing at home on a standard printer, and because I do a lot of 8x8 albums! Now they can have scaled down PL pages in them too!

I just downloaded this app and enjoyed playing with it - seems very easy. Even in my local currency it is well priced and I think it will make me enjoy PL more - tried the Paper route this year and not loving it. I think if you can mail these layouts you should be able to put them into a photo book of sorts ?

I think this app might be for me...even tho I haven't before done PL!
See, I struggle with my iphone pictures. I like my DSLR for quality pictures and am still addicted to it. Then I edit them with PS, and print them in various sizes too. With iphone pics, the quality isn't the same, and I tend to ignore them, even the ones that are important memories!
This would let me create something with them, print it off, and pop it in my album... no fuss, no muss.
Considering...

I purchased this app this morning, and I am so happy with how easy it is, I am not a digital scrapbooker or Project Lifer so my plan is to use this app for planning. I find that I spend quite a bit of time picking out photos and choosing between them so this will be helpful in cutting down that process.

I love this app! So easy and fun. I can't wait to see how the print quality is... Maybe now I'll finally get caught up with my photos!

I have been following discussions about this in several forums, and one thing I'm hearing is that the resolution of the end product that the app exports is 230 ppi versus the usual 300 that is often recommended for best photo quality. There is an article on Persnickety Prints blog about why that difference isn't a big deal, but you might want to get a few printed out to be sure you're happy with the print quality before you invest too much time in making your pages. That's what I am planning to do.

I hope they do an update for IOS 8 that will allow me to access all my pics. Right now it only lets me pick the most recent pics or the ones in designated albums; i.e. Instagram, etc. I can't access all my pics in any of my photo apps. Very annoying!

Every time I come on to this board I learn something new! I have never really wanted to do PL, but making small projects with this app and printing it out may be a great option.
Thanks for sharing

However, I would like to be able to add text in some different areas that the app doesn't allow for. This might be the solution I was looking for. Thanks for mentioning it!
