Yes, use it all the time when I am unfamiliar with a source. Someone made a great chart/graph/venn diagram combo that incorporates a lot more information (from mb site) than the typical liberal to conservative bias line, I'll see if I can find it.

DH, my Recovering Republican and Democrat in Denial found this for me. It was eye opening and disturbing for him.
Eta: Even after finding this himself and looking at it a bit, he made a comment later that evening stating that CNN and Fox were basically the same just on different sides of the coin. My husband is a super intelligent man, that programming runs DEEP.

My husband is a super intelligent man, that programming runs DEEP. I recently saw this graphic and it gave me flashbacks of spaghetti models for Hurricane Irma last year whilst waiting to see if I would have my roof torn off and/or die. Irma did hit us but thankfully both roof and myself remained intact. I did lose a panel in my pool enclosure. A few days ago during an alarmist facebook discussion about pedophiles adding a tag to LGBTQ to legitimize their sexual preferences, someone tried to support their argument that this IS in fact happening WITH the blessing of the LGBTQ community by directing me to some bizarre conspiracy theorist "news" website.

pastlifepea that's frightening, and they believe it! Even before they see the bogus sources there should be some alarm going off in their heads that no, that's probably not true. I'm glad you and your house survive Irma!

So...who exactly is David E. Van Zandt and what qualifies him to decide what is and what isn't "fake news"? Who are his research reviewers? So...basically what we have here is a site run by a clearly educated private individual with a group of volunteers of unidentified backgrounds/qualifications. Not saying this is a bad thing but I'm not sure it's good either. What kind of accountability is there?
They go into specifics about their methodology saying, "When calculating bias we are not just looking at political bias, but also how factual the information is and if they provide links to credible, verifiable sources. Therefore, the yellow dot may indicate political bias or how factual a source is, or in many cases, both. Further, we have placed a voting poll on each page for readers to vote on the bias of the source. This provides more information for the media consumer when deciding whether to trust a source. This is similar to how movie sites such as IMDB or Rotten Tomatoes rate their movies. They provide the reviewer’s information and also allow the public to rate the movie. This gives two perspectives in which people can decide whom to trust. This voting poll also allows MBFC News to examine if the public is agreeing or disagreeing with our ratings. If there is a large discrepancy we will re-examine that source and adjust accordingly after a thorough review." [Source]
Again, not saying it's bad or good...just saying - know what you're reading and make your own determinations from there.

This is what I use. It's a really great news aggregate.
