My first thought, that house isn’t “big” enough for Becky. She needed the huge oversized rooms with volume ceilings to let everyone know the Higgins’ had arrived!

It’ll be interesting to see how she spins this. Didn’t they use markers to write bible quotes or Mormon quotes on the two by four framing? I don’t think this recent development is at all “intentional”.

I'm curious about why they are selling, too. Not sure if I 'fessed up before, but on a trip to AZ in 2020 we stayed in Becky's neighborhood. As in, walked by her house on our daily walk. What struck my at the time is the back yard was far from finished, when I think the house had been done for 1+ years at that point. To me, that's a sign of some fragility in the finances, although granted, could be contractor issues (although the market was pretty typical then; it was just prior to the pandemic). FWIW, I think they marginally overbuilt for that neighborhood, especially considering many of the lots are superior to theirs; it's not a true architecturally designed home and it shows (too much BH influence); didn't put in the expected amenities (no pool that I saw then or in the listing which would absolutely be expected); and I'm certain the separate office/mother-in-law space is just wasted for them given the changing dynamics of her business/family structure. I'm guessing it's a financial move for them and I'm sure she'll spin wherever they end up as being very "intentional", yet I'm fairly certain there is a financial need driving this.
What I'm really wondering, though, is it seemed like it went pending pretty quickly in that neighborhood at that price for what it is. Wonder if their buyer isn't arm's-length and is somehow helping them out?

Shit! Lawsuits, a child (potentially) struggling with being gay in a homophobic church, and money problems. That’s a lot, I feel sorry for her. I didn’t read the “celebrate my panic attack” post but it makes me wonder what kind of mental healthcare she is getting.

Nothing like some aspiration from a disabled person. I get it, but it's usually only the HUGE accomplishments that you hear about. I could write more, but it's hard to explain why this bothers me. It's probably is a me issue more than anything.

And yet … there he was. Speaking at his high school graduation. As valedictorian. 😭😭😭 Tears fill my eyes all over again just writing this. I never want to forget this. Deeply moved and inspired." I get it too refugeepea - both sides. America loves to be inspired by people overcoming the odds.

She also makes it sound like this high schooler is her own dear friend and not Claire's.... I understand being close with your kids' friends (I have a second and third mom) but that phrasing is odd coming from Becky, just knowing how she is. Everything is about her, always.
I just saw this comment on her post and I feel nauseous - "Autism needs to be recognized for what it is and people with Autism can often be some of the smartest people you'll meet."
Neurodivergent people can even be SMART, who knew?! That person sure didn't!

B has obviously been sheltered. Or oblivious.
I find so many of her comments off-putting. Insulting in a way. She seems to feel the need to “instruct” us.

It sounds like she has these aha moments where she’s truly amazed that the peasants beneath her are actually capable of accomplishing something.

I'm wondering what she's gonna try to shill referencing Autism? I am serious when I say I will go after her on social media and make sure Autism programs do too if she even thinks about sending kids with Autism to the outdoor camp for teens that her own child did. That is a super unhealthy place and does more harm than good. It is NO place for a person with Autism. No person with Autism can benefit from the Church and it's "therapy programs". Like yeah...I will bring her down. She has NO place telling anyone what benefits those with Autism.

She needs to know that you can't cure Autism away. Or send a kid to an outdoor camp and have nature get rid of their Autism. Or pray it away.

I don't think Becky's going anywhere with the autism reference. This is just typical social media content for clout for her: mention someone else's struggle, add mention of tears (ah, there's our good Mormon girl) and reap likes. At work, we call this type of posting "leech likes". Just suck whatever's emotional and/or solid from another person's story to advance your own cause. Claire looks happy and like she's allowed to embrace her truth right down to her personal style. This makes me happy and that's the one compliment I'll give Becky. I just want to know more about the house debacle now...

No person with Autism can benefit from the Church and it's "therapy programs". Those camps aren't owned by the LDS church and I have not heard of them being used for any kind of cure for Autism. The LDS church (currently) is actually good to work with kids with disabilities. Just don't look too far back in church history. It would be interesting to see a study done on the number of Autistic people in the LDS church because there does seem to be a lot! If I still went to church, my local ward has a sensory classroom for kids that do better in that environment for church lessons.

If Becky flew to Colorado for a graduation, I would assume this person was important to her or the fact that the person she new was the valedictorian made it more important that she goes. Now if you want to comment about the house, I am there with you. ETA: I do think Becky has lived a very sheltered life and is experiencing some very new to her feelings.

Didn’t Claire go to the graduation with Becky?
I wonder if the graduate is a “camp-mate” of Clair’s from last summer?

Ugh I haven't posted here so hope I get it right. She posted another cryptic post with packing tape in her hand. There's a 'big update coming soon'. And I swore I saw her post a story recently about Clare now being in Africa. An outdoor, go to an international destination thing. I looked it up. I will try to l look again and post if I can find it.
