I find it highly suspicious they are leaving their house, the lawsuit, and his very lucrative practice. She's not bankrolling the family with her bs IG seminars. I feel for her kids getting jerked around so much though. Porter is off on a mission, but Claire and Crew are still in school. Isn't Claire a junior or senior? I guess she abandoned her BFF the Other Becky and the podcast too.

It seems The Other Becky is taking a massive social media break. She hasn’t posted on Instagram or Facebook since January 10. I hope she’s okay, but I’ll admit I’m curious what happened to make them drift apart.

My prediction she's moving to Draper, UT. We should totally play a game of drop-the-pin-on-the-map for Becky's new hometown! Whoever gets closest to her actual new location wins. That’s how the Bay City Rollers picked their name. It landed on Bay City, Michigan.

I just saw a comment on her latest IG post that says,"I think you are going to love Utah". In the commenter's bio, it says she is a realtor in AZ and UT.

Gross. Ogden is the armpit of Utah.

Becky continues to post about being "An Ally" to the LGBTQ+ community. She's also alluded to the fact that someone close to her is a part of that community. If she and her husband "are called" to move to an area of the country more inclusive, that would be very supportive. If they move to an area of the country that doesn't share that support, I will call BS on her whole "Ally" crap. It will be one more thing that is fake from her. Her motives are always so questionable.
It is extremely difficult to move when children are in high school. We've had to move before at terrible times, and you just figure it out, but it's not a good thing. I can't imagine anyone with children at the stages they are choosing to move. If she and David would just wait a few years, they could move anywhere.

Good grief. I do NOT get the dragging out saying where you are moving to. She's had what, 3 different posts about??? Just freaking say where you are moving. And the people who are all, "OMG I can't wait to hear where you are going!" annoy the crap out of me. Why the drama? You are moving, so what?

I’m also calling BS on this ‘call from God’ to move. I’m sure in rare cases people actually feel a legitimate calling from God to do something. But in more cases than not, I think it’s just a way for people to justify something they WANT to do.

I read through some of the comments and she posted something in an Ogden UT FB group page. I was reading some of the comments on her IG post just now and it looks like she posted in an Ogden Valley Moms FB group. Ogden Valley is different from Ogden city and is on the other side of the mountains from Ogden. Towns out there are Liberty, Eden, Huntsville. It used to be pretty rural but with ski resorts in that area growing and recreation activities at Pineview Reservoir (well, when it has a decent amount of water in it which isn't now due to the drought) the population has boomed and it has become an expensive place to live (relatively speaking compared to other parts of Utah.) I'm on the other side of the mountain from Ogden Valley (a little north of Ogden, one of the armpits of Utah ) and if it wouldn't add 20 minutes to my commute I'd move to the Ogden valley.

My in-laws built their “forever” home in Liberty and lasted about 3 years. They’ve lived their whole lives along the Wasatch Front, but couldn’t deal with the winters and massive amounts of snow in that valley. I have a really hard time imaging Becky is going to fare well after living in AZ for 20 years.
Also, North Ogden is a delightful place… my husband’s grandpa had a farm there until he died. Not at all like Ogden!

Not me on Zillow looking at the "recently sold" section for (North) Ogden... I'm seeing real estate prices that are definitely more affordable than what her clinical McMansion sold for.

Try looking in Eden, Liberty, and Huntsville. Thanks. More expensive but still under the price Becky's new home just sold for. Significantly less volume of sales than in Ogden so provided they bought straight away and aren't renting to test the area out at first, there is only a very limited number of homes that would correspond to their needs and social status. I've seen a few that seem Becky-ish but she's likely going to change for a very different aesthetic (again). She's going to have access to some nice ski slopes during winter!

I read through some of the comments and she posted something in an Ogden UT FB group page. Shit! That's too close to home. I predict she will be a featured speaker at a young single adult LDS event. I seriously doubt she'll be living in the city of Ogden. It has lots of poor people and lots of basic homes. Please note the sarcasm. I have a family member getting married in Ogden this summer. There are a few cool places.

Try looking in Eden, Liberty, and Huntsville. Yeah, I was thinking it would be there or North Ogden. South Ogden isn't bad either. Both of my husband's grandparents had homes there. He has cousins that still live in that area.

There are a few cool places. Becky's lived such a privileged and sheltered life so I could see Ogden being out of her comfort zone and just not good enough. But from what I've seen on YouTube, it has its charms and downtown seems great. Am I dreaming or was there an olympic event in Ogden when SLC hosted the Winter Games?

The Union Station is where I'm attending the wedding. I recently see Pauly Shore at the Wise Guys Comedy Club in downtown.

But in more cases than not, I think it’s just a way for people to justify something they WANT to do. You know what else she could do? Not write about it. It’s for page clicks, sympathy, head pats, being able to write about she and David “counseling and praying” about it. Nothing against either but it comes across as bragging (?), holier than thou AGAIN. Can she not keep this private? Or is this another way to earn church points. Moving to Utah probably seems “safe” for B. Back again in LDS-land. It might give her kids a fresh school start. Maybe it’s to get Clair separated from (in her view) some unfortunate influences. The whole thing seems sketchy it’ll be interesting to see how she spins it. And I hope she got her stickers finished! 😂

Don't know about the crime rates or what some people are saying re: smell and noise. But yeah, there's no way Becky's moving there. I just checked Wikipedia and Ogden hosted curling, refugeepea! I knew the name sounded vaguely familiar. At the time of the SLC Winter Games, a popular French cartoon series called Oggy and the Cockroaches was showing on TV (I was still in high school back then *deep sigh of old age*). Hence why my brain got stuck on Ogden during the Winter Games. We could always do Ogden and the Cockroaches if things really spiral out of control in the city... Oggy, Oggy, Oggy! Oi, oi, oi! (sorry Australian Peas, couldn't resist )

One more post since we're on the Ogden topic. There are some areas up near Weber State University that are very nice, with large expensive homes. Shadow Valley is one that comes to mind. But there also are parts of Ogden that have gang activity and crime problems. The city has been in a revitalization mode for several years now and downtown is a nice place to visit during hours where businesses are open. I don't think I'd go there in the middle of the night however... I don't imagine Becky moving to Ogden though.

The Osmonds are from Orem I believe. About 70 miles or so south of Ogden. They lived in South Ogden for a time. My husband's grandma was friends with the mother before they became really famous then they moved to Orem. She was proud of her photo of her and the Osmond family.

The closer you get to Salt Lake City, the more inclusive the LGBQT community. The area they are moving from is heavily populated with Mormons, so I don't know how big of a difference there will be.

It’s very juvenile to go around telling everyone you’ve got a secret. Very attention seeking.
