It is not a good sign that Project Life is the Peachy Cheap deal today. Wasn't it supposed to be a big deal that only certain select places were allowed to sell PL? “Certain select places”— like Tuesday Morning? 😂😂

PL has been available through Zulily (another discount retailer) many times before. I would imagine offering PL on Peachy Cheap is a similar tactic to clear out old stock. I’m offended by that map of the US in the Road Trip card set- is it that hard to draw the state lines somewhat accurately or does someone just have it out for California? Remember when she posted on Instagram about an international shipping deal and she used a picture of a globe that has Europe with the Ottoman and Austrian Empires depicted and she never realized that is not what the world looks like?

What she's doing is incredibly unprofessional. I think she needs a serious marketing/communications person on board who knows what they're doing to take the reins, and she needs to truly follow their lead. I agree that she is oversharing and explaining way too much, and her written posts sound like she's having a crazy breakdown. It's cringey and I can't be the only customer who feels that way. The lines are just so blurred with her group and frankly, unhealthy. She needs to put her phone down for a week or even 24 hours.
She doesn't care about that. She had a post a while back that "sharing is caring". Not always, Becky. I have noticed that a few weeks ago her follower count was 84.1. It's been creeping down and it's 83.9 now. I guess we're not the only ones tiring of oversharing and drama queening. Today 83.8 Maybe she can stem the losses if she focuses on what people are asking for vs. meltdowns and over-analysis and 97 stories/day.

That was before her distribution deal with AC & big box stores I believe. Her stuff has been showing up in discount store for a few years now as AC is clearing it out.

I’m not sure if any of you ever print out digital kits for your regular scrapbooks, but I did a work-related one a few years ago. I don’t sell it any more, so I would be happy to upload it somewhere and share it if anyone can use it. It was sort of a vintage-style anyway, so maybe it doesn’t matter that it’s a few years old? Anyway, if anyone is interested, let me know! I don’t scrap digi, or work outside of the home, but those papers, and some buttons are gorgeous!

On one of the PL Facebook groups they are reporting the long awaited update will have both February and March kits, plus for a monthly subscription fee iOS users will be able to backup pages synch between devices.

This is going to sound like a dumb question but I have only ever bought two or three core kits and that was back in 2012 or so.
Can someone tell me how the cards compare to SC, KP or Ali's as far as thickness goes?
The few kits that I bought years ago were very thin and flimsy. Are they still made the same way?

I was surprised the first time I bought a core kit. I had only used sc cards at the time. Project life cards are flimsy-like paper. Probably the thinnest on the market.

Personally, I don’t care about the thickness of the cards. They go in pockets so don’t need to hold up on their own.

Agreed. The writing surface is more important to me than thickness of the cards.

I'm glad we will finally be able to sync between devices, but I'm super annoyed that it will be a subscription fee. This should be standard. I was very surprised when I found out it didn't sync (I only started using it last month).

Personally, I don’t care about the thickness of the cards. They go in pockets so don’t need to hold up on their own. I've wondered this when I see others complain about thin cards! I prefer them thin, esp. if I'm going to add stickers or embellishments to them. I don't understand why thicker cards are seen as desirable by so many. But then I don't like the thickness of chipboard either, so I KNOW I'm in the minority! lol

I think the idea is to cut down on bulkiness so that you can fit a year into one album. The thicker cards make the album thicker.

I can deal with the cards being thin, the problem with the PL cards are the poor quality paper. Most of my baby boy kit has black speckles on the cards because they aren't using high quality/quality control checked paper. It looks and feels cheap because it is cheap.

I had more than one kit that the black either rubs off onto other cards, shows through or bleeds through.

I don’t do much pocket scrapping but after seeing some of the pictures of non-PL pocket pages layouts I might reconsider. You would think Becky would want to be more about giving the customers what they want considering the competition that’s out there now. Some kit companies have some very nice kits that include cards, embellishments, and even alphas. Others offer cut aparts. If I decide to do some pocket scrapping I’m absolutely not getting rounded corners or sets of cards with bunches of duplicates or with 10 ‘hello’ fillers.

I just unfollowed her this morning after seeing another post about her trip. I initially started following her years ago when she would have posts about the physical PL product but I have finally given up on that happening any more.

I wonder how peaceful her team's life is when she's away. It might be a nice break from the manic boss' non-stop chattering and navel-gazing.

Not sure if it was mentioned here already, but Simple Scrapper Podcast Episode 7 is about the PL app. It's a general overview, and most comments were favorable. I don't have the app, so I enjoyed listening, but there wasn't anything said that was earth-shattering. Just pleasant background chatter. Still, I thought I'd post it here. Carry on

It seems odd that they took this spontaneous vacation as they were preparing to move into the house they are building. I wonder if it was because she was on the verge of a breakdown.

Did she say it was spontaneous? Because her husband would have to clear his schedule plus there are 6 other adults with them and those men probably work too. I would think it was planned.

Yes she did say it was spontaneous. She said the decided “on a whim” to go to Italy. She made it sound very spur of the moment, last minute decision

This week she’s a scrapbooking “guru”. I think I figured out she’s pushing the app, her Italy album is $92. Das spensive yall. I get that they are good photos and stuff but yikes. Her family yearbook was something like $250 and she orders multiples for her kids.
