The Becky Higgins Situation is really bothering me. I have two of Becky’s books, loved her first Project 365 kit (pre-PL), and genuinely liked her as a scrapbooker. It’s fine if she has moved in from scrapbooking but why does she have to (attempt to) take us all down with her? If scrapbooking isn’t her thing, move on. But there are a lot of us who still love it and still buy tons of products. I feel like I did my part and purchased a ton of PL products, I purchased the SC kit when it was part of PL, and I have the PL app. If customers aren’t purchasing giant core kits then it’s Becky’s job to evolve as a business owner by listening to her customers and adjusting her products. It’s not her customer’s job to follow her to unrelated product lines like frumpy dresses and wooden signs. I hope someone steps in and alters her course, but I’m not hopeful. I fear PL as we know it is gone and it will be up to kit clubs and other brands to provide 3x4 and 4x6 cards. BH needs to go away before she sullies the water more than she already has. YES!! This!!! She should have evolved with her customers! |

I wanted to share an excerpt from an email I received today from Jennifer Wilson of Simple Scrapper. The email was a blurb on her latest podcast episode, but this part I had to come here and share: “Scrapbooking is so special and beautiful, whether you're doing Project Life, making 12x12 layouts, or following your own path. I am certain you will walk away from this episode will renewed resolve for telling your story and feeling proud to be a scrapbooker.” (emphasis mine) I’m so glad other “industry” scrappers get it and are proud to use the word “scrapbook!” Yes! I am curious how does one go from posting 20-30 stories a day to nothing?!? I mean come on, did someone take her phone away from her? Maybe her DH is stepping up to work with her on her mental health and has control of her phone? I just can't see how she could cold-turkey stop posting on her own. My guess is she is on some team-building vacation with her employees (again) and don't have wi-fi. Maybe they are on an island somewhere? LOL Maybe her husband put his foot down. |

I wonder if her hubby stepped in and took away her phone/Instagram privileges. Clearly BH is digging herself a hole and can’t get herself out. It’s time someone step in and take away her ability to post 40 crying Insta-stories everyday. |

They wouldn't say she's taking a mental health break, or anything of the sort, instead the would dress it up real pretty and call it a "vacation". |

I can go back to those messages and see when she was last active on IG. And as of now, she was active 2 hours ago. So she is NOT 'away' from social media, but as most probably suspected anyway, just lurking.

There's something really odd when you have to get a handler (which is what BP is) and the handler is more condescending than the person who hired her! How on earth would this woman function in a world where you juggle a full time job and family stresses. Miss scrapbooker ... err ... documenter needs to get real.

The current Prophet has already asked for the Mormon women active on social media to do a 10-day fast last autumn. So, I don't doubt for one minute her lack of posting since the debacle is the direct result of being councelled by her husband. It's still an extremely patriarchal religion and no matter how much BH makes me roll my eyes and shake my head, I'm also painfully aware that someone in deep like she is will have to play by the men's rules in the end and submit to her husband. I find it all disturbing and weird. |

There was an app update a couple days ago. I went to see if she had said anything. Nothing.
Further proof she isn’t actively attempting to actually sell PL stuff.
