I never understood having large amount of followers. It is really about the content. I rather have smaller numbers better content for my own social media and for those who I follow. I think it would be too much pressure always trying to keep up with your large amount of followers, trying to keep it fresh and trying to be perfect. I think that is a nervous breakdown that will happen. Not being mean but I think Becky is heading that way.
Also not being mean but looking at this from a "celebrity" point of view. Our industry does cultivate and promote celebrities and fan girling. Becky is part of that culture. I guess she has her cultivating thing she pushes on us, lol. For scrapbook celebrities Becky's reputation she shows us is really not that likable or relatable compared to some of our other stars.
I am not trying to be mean. It is harder to convey in writing. A lot of real celebrities come off as not relatable or likable when they truly are. The ones that promote themselves as relatable and likable are completely clueless and horrible people.
I say it all the time these scrapbook stars need publicists and agents.
I don't know if this is an old thing. I just saw it this week. Tuesday Morning has PL kits. The real ones from BH. I know some of you are looking for older kits. I have just started going to TM. I am complete newbie to the TM craft culture, lol. I can't tell you much about the kits. I just saw a bunch of them stacked up.

This describes it perfectly: The "sitting in fresh water/barnacle" parable, the asking yourself if what you are posting is spreading light or negativity, blocking those that bring negativity into your life... There is a difference between negativity and constructive criticism or disagreeing with your position. Neither one of them want to have a healthy debate about any of it. |

Do people (women) really need to be told to be grateful (btw - super helps when you're privileged w/health, wealth, people who care about you and intelligence)? Do people (women) really need reminders that they can't do everything for everyone? Another reason not to follow "regular" women on social media who talk about their personal lifestyle. No thanks. Until I can find someone in the same position as me, it's a complete waste of time.

I liked the Project Life Kits. Yes, there was some things that bothered me about them, but not enough to NOT buy them if I could get a good deal.

Good for scrapbook.com! It's a darn good idea - always was. Maybe they'll help keep BH's former customers supplied with page protectors. I'll be interested to see if they bring out small card kits with other themes as well.

I actually have my first stack of PL cards. They were $1.99 @ TM and I bought them for the ‘Road Trip’ card & the Philly map card but I do hate the rounded corners and have only used them cut up so far

For comparison, here's how you do social media, imo. From Shimelle's a few weeks back. Beautiful. Just a glimpse of personal life. Lovely thoughts. No "guru"-ing. And adorable that her little boy took the shots of her (more at her IG) "Hashtag transition: the last pictures that qualify as #photobyafouryearold and the first photo that needs #photobyafiveyearold! Plus a portrait of the photographer, partially hidden by a pink tree. Because DID YOU THINK I FORGOT ABOUT PINK TREE WEEK? I never forget about pink tree week. But apparently I do get the colour theming all wrong so I don’t get an excuse to spam you with eleventy million pink tree photos. Which is the correct number of pink tree photos. At least. Also: I love that he is still loving taking pictures and comes up with bonkers ideas like ‘hold me up so I can take a picture of your shoes like you take a picture of your shoes’. 🤣 It makes more sense when you realise there isn’t enough space between his face and his own shoes for the lens to focus. 😉"   |

Her latest podcast delves into how an anxiety attack (brought on by the NSD incident) impacted her. It's divided into two parts so I don't know how it will end and I'm only 30 minutes in, but she's addressing her side of the incident (somewhat in a vague, not-taking-responsibility kind of way).

At the 40-ish minute mark, BH is discussing her anxiety and stress over the past year and acknowledges business has been down the past year. Her husband told her she didn't have to work, but she feels like it's a calling. Now she is reminding us that she doesn't have to do it but it's a calling.
