We were on the Danforth, a block and a half away, when this happened last night. It was a late night (we were locked down) and I’m still a bit shaken but I thought I’d check in.

i just posted on the other other thread, my son's school is a couple of blocks away and wants me to find out if the little girl critically injured goes to his school.  my daughter wanted to go to a pizza joint up there last night with friends. they rescheduled for tonight because she wanted to be with her boyfriend. he works as a lifeguard on lake ontario and saturday was nuts - really big waves. just as i dropped her and her brothers off at the beach on saturday, they were hauling a man out of the lake and performing CPR on him. heard yesterday that he died. she was pretty shaken up last night. |

How awful for you all over there. Glad you're safe Dalai Mama . rickmer you must have been relieved that they changed their plans only for her to still face such a tragic situation. That must have been awful for your daughter to witness. |

A gunman and two female victims are dead and 12 others are in hospital after a shooting in Toronto's Greektown neighbourhood on Sunday evening, police say.
Toronto Police Chief Mark Saunders said the two killed were aged 18 and 10.
The other victims ranged in age from 10 to 59. They suffered injuries from minor to serious in nature.
Ontario's Special Investigations Unit (SIU), which probes police-involved shootings, said the suspected gunman, 29, is also dead. Police, meanwhile, are working to determine what may have led to the violence.
