I totally know where this is - my sister lives in Marion. Too bad I am not there this weekend.

My friends hosting the sale ended up having about 45 sellers with a wide variety of stamps, scrapbook supplies and accessories, and the turnout for the sale was great. We couldn't believe how much stuff was sold over the weekend! I sold more than I thought I would considering I didn't bring as much as I would have liked, so I was happy.

I'm glad to hear that the sale went well. There is a LSS about 45 minutes from me that hosts a sale and the people who bring things in earn store credit for what they sell. If it didn't take multiple trips to the store to participate I would do it. What are you going to do with your new found wealth?

New found wealth? What is this you speak of? LOL, I spent almost as much as I made at the sale but my volume coming back is less, so that's a good thing--right? I bought some very slightly used chalks to refill my used up ones, several matching stamp and thin die sets, a couple other new cling stamp sets I liked. Spent the rest and then some at the LSS, Hobby Lobby, Michael's and JoAnn's. I sold some bulky Cropper Hopper totes that I wasn't going to use once my studio is done in a few months, tons of card sized cardstock, patterned paper grab bag packs and a bunch of mini book kits that I bought to do something with years ago but never did, and some other miscellaneous stuff I had around. Both of the friends who came with me brought more and sold more so it was worth the trip, plus my friends who hosted the sale raised some money to kick off their fundraiser crop next month. Good times!

I wish I would have seen your post in time to go to the sale! I'm not very far away. Glad it went well for everyone!

I would have done the same as you and used it right away on more supplies.

Oh that is so cool. We have a sale here but they charge five dollars admission...sometimes I don't buy anything, so I'm going to skip it this year.

They do two sales a year and will have another one in the spring. They just keep getting bigger and better every time. It's great for the sellers, great for the buyers and the little bit they take from everyone's sales for organizing it goes toward hosting their annual fundraiser crop so it's something everybody can feel good about.
